Schwinn Men's Ranger 26" Mountain Bike $130 FS

just my 2 cents... do not be fooled by the Schwinn name. Schwinn went bankrupt a long time ago (1993) and sold off all their assets including their name. All 'schwinn' branded items are from a Canadian company known as Dorel, who now makes Schwinn, Mongoose, GT and Roadmaster bicycle brands. (amusingly mongoose was one of the brands that helped kill Schwinn initially.. and they are not good bikes either).

Really old schwinn bikes had some quality. These do not. They are cheap chinese imports, and do NOT last and are not meant for any real cycling. Save up and buy a cheaper Trek or their off brand name - Gary Fisher. You will be glad you did. Eminently more solid bikes, better built, and will last years. Schwinn bikes are meant for kids only as something to learn on and outgrow and then get something better. They are not actually meant for adults.
