I was debating the same thing a few months ago when I jumped on the SSD bandwagon.
I went with a smaller drive & now wish I had gone with a larger one.
That's true--never hurts to have more space, except for the higher initial/upfront cost. Although I read that 256GB is the sweet spot for SSDs performance-wise (and maybe price-wise too now) because of NAND vs channels.
