Ah, all the AMD fanboys claiming that you "couldn't" buy a 2500K for less than $160...well, here's the proof that you can and this isn't even the lowest MC has sold it for. Get this and a cheapo p67 or z68 or z77 board and overclock the crap out of it and you'll have a system that's still at the top of the pack even nowadays.

Since this is OEM, I don't think there is a HSF with it... Not that you'd use the HSF that intel provides... I'm just saying
 Factor that into your cost if you don't already have one.If I hadn't already bought a 3570K on BF at Tigerdirect B&M for $150, I'd use this to upgrade my HTPC. Now it's my HTPC & Gaming system... all the steam deals are awesome!  To verify, I checked MC's website-

Now that this model is almost 2yo though, MC might be trying to clear them out? Still a top-of-the-line processor going on benchmarks though... Definitely the best bang:buck ratio. |
