This server is not DLNA server,not even close, it is a file server. There is something called miniDLNA, it shoud work if you implement it properly. However ,when hdds belong to Plex, which IS DLNA server among other things,files on those drives will be recognized by the Plex client. My Sharp is a smart TV w/DLNA.It wants to play MP4s but ignores MKVs. PS My Pogo server is still down, many thanks, cracajack Last edited by Bagira; 01-18-2013 at 10:08 PM.. |

In case anyone is interested in Samba on this, I just tested it out and I'm saturating my network bandwidth with the file xfer speed from my external drive through the pogoplug at ~80Mbps. |

For auto-mounting these devices each time after Pogo is rebooted, run below commands nano /etc/fstab Then paste this line -> UUID="ABCD" /mnt/Songs ntfs defaults 0 0 # Put your device's UUID instead of ABCD. My HDDs are ntfs type. Put your own type if different. Add one line for each device with it's UUID and type (e.g. ntfs). If you don't know the UUID, run this command blkid -o list -c /dev/null Now just save this file and exit. चिकट मराठी माणूस.

Ok and if i have both samba and nfs installed, how does the system differentiate which protocol to use to mount?I want to experiment mounting with samba and nfs separately and see what works better/faster/easier for me.

I am in the processing of installing archlinux.
I did cd /tmp pogoplug:/tmp$ wget http://jeff.doozan.com/debian/ubo...ot_mtd0.sh Giving me an error: wget: command not found How to fix this? |

The system doesn't do anything to differentiate because the connection is handled by different software (samba and nfs-server). One thing in common between samba and nfs is that both are client-server communication models so you will need to know (or let us know) which OS you want to use for the client to access files on the server (pogo+arch) or specify the OS in your google search. |
