I have a Panasonic 65'' ST50. I've owned it for a few weeks now. I also get the loud buzzing on bright screens. It's easily audible from about 10 ft away. It should not be doing this. I have an authorized Panasonic repair technician coming to my house on the 2nd to get it fixed, or replace the TV. I would also look into this while your TV is still under warranty.

With that being said, I do love the picture quality of the TV. I beat Uncharted: Drake's Fortune last night, and the game looks breathtaking on it.

That's right, at 10ft away, anything from zero buzz to light buzz would be considered normal, but loud buzz should be filed under 'return, exchange, or service'. Nothing is consistent in the TV world within the same model. Some buzz, some no buzz. Some IR, some no IR. Some bad uniformity, some great uniformity. Same goes with banding, flashlighting, edge-bleed, etc. Just have to keep exchanging until you get a winner, live with it, or get it serviced as in your case.

On a side note, what do you think about the Man of Steel trailer?

In march we should see this set for 1500 the 65st will go for 1700
Panasonic will continue to make plasmas.. Also I bought my 60st 30 last march for 1075.00

The only thing that might affect the price is because last year there was a over production of tvs vs this year. However I still expect once the 2013 plasma info is released these tvs will still drop another 200-400 dollars. I would not pay more then 1550.00 no tax free shipping for a 60 inch GT panny

I'll counteract your anecdotal story with my own 50GT50 whose 'buzz' requires one to stick their head 6" from the back of the TV to hear anything.

I'm not saying yours doesn't have an issue, but 'ALL'??? Please.

i have a 54" panny plasma that has a very faint buzz from behind the screen, but it can't be heard from in front of the screen.

xlnt tv, it's been flawless, i'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Pretty presumptuous of the OP to broadly proclaim "no sales tax" when Paul's TV charges sales tax in CA, MA, MI, CO, VA, and RI.

EDIT: It appears I missed on the home page that there is a no sales tax promotion going on right now for Paul's TV.

I don't know about other states, but Paul's TV is paying for tax in CA for TV purchases during the Holidays. Their B&M store is 2 miles away from me. So OP is correct. You only have to pay the recycling fee of $10. No tax, free shipping.

The only bad thing is you can't pick it up at the store. You need to wait until it gets delivered to you.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think they require you to log in first to see the price, due to manufacturer restriction in advertising discounted price (in this case, Panasonic).
