I installed the x64 version and had problem. Each time I tried to start the program it locks up my computer(WIndow 7 Pro x64). I restarted and tried 3 times and each times my computer freezes while it was searching for disks. Anyone else having the same problem?
I recently backed up and then restored (to test it) a cloned image of a 500gb laptop drive (four partitions, dual boot Win 7 and Win 8) with Paragon Backup and Recovery free. http://www.paragon-software.com/home/br-free/
It supported backing up the image to my 3TB external USB 3.0 drive, where Easus To Do would only support up to 2TB.
For those of you who are a bit more confident with computers I highly recommend Clonezilla for making 1:1 copies of your hard drive.
It's a text-based program and the options aren't quite self explanatory. I found a good online walk-through that got me from a 320GB HD to 1TB last week and it worked perfectly. This is one of those very basic single-minded applications that will work 100% of the time unless there is user error.
Basically a re-worked O&O Diskimage that's been around for ages. Does anyone see any feature to recommend this program over the stellar Macrium Reflect Free except maybe for what seems to be an incremental backup feature? BTW, HD to SSD cloning works flawlessly with Macrium - no need whatsoever to re-install the OS.
I've been using the paid version of MR for years and never had a failure (including HD to SSD cloning). The free version is also excellent
