PreSale Adams Arms Midlength Piston AR15 Rifle / Gun $1209.95 +S/H

Can someone explain the difference, or point me in the direction of some reading material, on the benefits/drawbacks (and exactly what the difference is) between the mid-length and carbine length pistons?

Yea I mean think a law will be passed and be in effect within 2 months?? Think you will find maybe a better deal or equivalent one that is in stock or guarantees shipment? If nothing happens lawwise in the next week will prices drop and more product become available?

Tough decisions...too bad we dont have a DeLorean

*banging head on desk* I live in Tampa and have to order this rifle from Texas as no one has it in stock. Only to find out the manufacturer, Adams Arms, is in Palm Harbor, fl which is more or less on the other side of Tampa, 45 minute drive.

Definitely makes life easy for warranty.

Funny all the thumbs down on this. People just don't understand the topic and thumbs down, lol.

You can google midlength vs carbine piston and see alot of results, but think you will find alot of the same benefits and praise of midlength whether its DI or piston.

Availability down to 15 from 27.

This puppy will accept Troy rails so I guess I'll hang onto my squidgrips and pounce next time Troy has a sale to get rails and sights.

As for the TD, that's the Feinstein Flock. Evil assault weapon, must TD. as far as gun deals go I don't go by TU/TD just for that reason.

I have one on order and cleared it with my FFL who will sent the required paperwork before the end of the day.

Midlength is gone. Carbine numbers are starting to drop now

The furniture is pretty bland but that gives me an option to possibly replace it with some FDE parts.

I think I asked your home state before, and based on that it is not legal in your state. Too many naughty features (eg collapsible stock and flash hider). A gunsmith could pin the stock and maybe do something about the flash hider (if it doesn't make the barrel less than 16 inch). The seller probably wouldn't even it ship though...

Looked at all the TD's from the Feinstein Flock. Not a good deal, not a good product, poor merchant reputation. If it wasn't so sad it'd be funny to see people apparently having nothing else to do but scour slickdeals for gun/ammo related deals and thumb them down.

Judging from the fact both versions are sold out that means 54 of these AR15's were sold anyway. I've been researching the Adams piston system and it looks like one of the easier ones to clean and it's pretty reliable. I think I made the right purchase here.

Oh well, party is over, nothing to see here, move along. :-)
