They tried to give me the LS model as well but ultimately ordered the LM4600 and will deliver it to my home-it was a fair resolution I guess

Frys has this right now for $549 with free shipping. Depending on your tax rate, it could be close to the same deal as this.

Will Best Buy Match this? How does that work. Do I have to show them the link? |

Maybe this can help a few out but with CSRs it's always YMMV but I dealt with the "we're giving you this 47LS4600" like most of us and I didn't notice until I got home.
I decided to call prior to going in and it went like this. First two calls to the 888 number: Disconnects during transfer to "other options". Third call, I do nothing and get an operator. The First 35 minutes: talk to a guy with poor English from the Eastern Hemisphere. My attempt: "I purchased a TV and it was suppose to be the LG 47LM4600 LED - 3D TV. I was given the 47LS4600 instead. The order was changed and this is a problem." Ultimately, he explained to me numerous times I got the TV I should have received and I couldn't have ordered the LM model because it was selling for $1100 and I paid $499. Each time he tried to tell me that I tried to explain in a slightly different way that my actual Order Receipt stated I paid $499 for the LM model and I picked that model because I was looking at that models product page on the Best Buy website and I purchased it because it was $499. I also explained that I'm not willing to pay $499 for the LS model because that model has been available for less then $450 this past year and $499 is not worth it to me. Eventually, he told me "I guess we have a special procedure for this situation but I have to put you on hold." 7 minutes later he comes back to tell me he needs to transfer me and I'll be on hold again. The final 25 minutes: A polite lady answers and states her department. I didn't catch it but sounded like Best Buy End Customer Satisfaction Department. She spoke english and started by asking to confirm the accuracy of what the first service rep explained to her. Which was: "You ordered a TV that you thought was 3D but wasn't and you want to change that?" I replied with, "No, I ordered a LG 47LM4600 as my order details states and I was given a LS4600 instead which is a cheaper TV." At this point she understood but didn't know why....ya right....but also explained what I paid was too little for it to be that LM model because it's selling for $699.99 atm and that my order showed and should be showing a LS model. I continued to explain, "the LM might be more expensive then the LS right now but at the time I was shopping the web page showed the LM at the price I paid." That didn't help. What finally helped was making her reference order. I guess I made her look deeper into it when I said, "ok, I ordered the LM and my receipt shows it. Can't you access the Best Buy order/website in the same manor I can? I'm specifically looking right now at the order details page and then the view orders. Then the view order details page of my order with the LG 47LM4600 order. Finally, on that page I click the "View Order Receipt" which opens a Pop-Up and has my order listed." At that point, I literally read back the order. "(Qty. 1 - LG-47" Class (46-9/10" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - 3D - HDTV-47LM4600 -- $499.99 -- $37.50 tax -- Total: $537.49 --- and at the bottom it says in a blue box: Status:1 item picked up at -City- -State Abbreviation- on 01/01/13.) So I was suppose to pick up the LM model, not the LS." -- I did purposely avoid saying the SKU because I don't know if the number was wrong to start with or if Best Buy changed it after the fact to try to avoid or cover up and make it ok to actually make us take the LS as an alternative. The SKU is listed on that Orders Receipt page but I was never asked for it which might have ended this thing right then. She sounded confused but asked me to read it again but slower so she could right it down. Once she did, she put me on hold for about 5 minutes and came back to tell me, "Well, you're right, it is there. I don't know what 9/10...etc means but the order does say LG 47LM4600 3D LED 1080p TV for $499.99. The SKU number is wrong, but you did order what you say you did. You're one of the lucky ones. You had the details and records to show it. Most people don't. So, we'll fix it. I'm going to process a return and exchange. It looks like the soonest it could be done is -Day, Date-. We'll send guys out to deliver the right one and pick up the old one. Is that a day that works for you? Ok, I'll have to put you on hold now because I actually have to go to a register to process the proper return/exchange information to get this going and done but this will be your new order number xxxxxxxxxx" At this point, she puts me on old and CLICK. WTF?!!? Alright, no problem...she'll call me back because I have an order number, right? 10 minutes go by and I get return call. Whew. "Everything is all setup, it took me a bit longer then I thought though. I'm not sure what happened but the call dropped too. Anyway, you'll also get an email about the exchange/return. So, is there anything else I can help you with?" This was earlier today. ATM, it seems everything will be resolved smoothly and I hope it does. I did get an email with that new order number but inside it shows an order for the LM priced at $699.99. So...I guess in a few days I'll find out if I'll be in for another annoying and wasted hour on the phone to correct that. The whole thing wasn't crazy difficult but I hate dealing with problems like this and just want to get mad and yell till it's fixed even though that doesn't work. So, I forced myself to breath, calm down and ignore my searing hatred for Best Buy go for the sake of trying avoid getting blind from anger and screw up a chance to point them at what they needed to see. |

I also forgot, my Order Details page on the BB website shows both the LM and LS in the description. In the actual real description of the item it says "LG-47" Class (46-9/10" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - 3D - HDTV-47LM4600" and right below it is said " Model Number: 47LS4600".
My emails: 1 - We received your order, wait to pick up -- stated a 47LM4600 1 - Order ready for pickup -- stated a 47LS4600 1 - Order picked up -- stated - [LG - 47" Class (46-9/10" Diag.) - LED - 1080p - 120Hz - 3D - HDTV SKU: 4846629] but no model number. I'm only adding that to give a larger picture of how my order sat before dealing with Customer Service. But everything I did and received was all sorts of mixed up. |

Bestbuy here in Scottsdale, Arizona gave me the LG 47LM4700 with the soundbar. Tehy pulled out the LS version and I showed them my order page. Lucky for me they couldnt even pull up the SKu as they said it was deleted already. So they apologized that they messed up and gave me the LM4700! That was nice.
Now iI'm trying to figure out if I should update the firmware. I don't have the truemotion feature that gives you the soap opera effect and on the AVS fourm they are saying the new firmware is messing up the 3d!!!!!! Anyone have any issues once they updates? |

So what I gathered from reading all the forums here and avs:
1. Need to update firmware 2. No Soap Opera effect even after updating firmware. 3. No Trumotion Settings, customer service rep said it is turned on "low" setting at the factory. Will there be another firmware update to give owners of this TV set the Trumotion settings? |
