SERIOUSLY: The best french toast this man, right here, has ever eaten. Even before I knew about Super Troopers! An old guy ran it, an out of place SUPER HOT russian gal worked there, and I only ate there one time. It closed shortly after and I never found out why... With that said at Sams it's $53.12 per gallon to $49 per gallon in this sale. And this comes to your front door. |

You can microwave it to warm it up, or place in your non-plastic serving container and place that in a pan of boiling water to bring to your desired temperature. Enjoyment temperature varies depending on the person. |

You can also make awesome maple syrup candies. We just ran out so this is great timing. Congress - Bingo with billions (Red Skeleton)

I'm not a maple syrup kind of guy, I just usually add a bit of butter. But I NEVER eat the fake syrup. It's disgusting and anyone who thinks HFCS and maple are the same thing is going to save a lot of money. Well, maybe not in the long run, idk if HFCS is bad for humans, I stay away from it, but who knows.

A lot of misinformation flying around....
As TinCanFury stated, yes, it can be stored for a while, but MUST be airtight and cool or else it will mold and ferment. Grade A vs Grade B... so many people misunderstand this. It really only has more to do with WHEN the sap was tapped, than with quality. Grade A is lighter in color than B. Both need to be a minimum sugar concentration. B tastes richer than A. The lighter the syrup, the lighter the taste. The color difference is due to the starting concentration of sugars in the sap and the fact that it will begin to caramelize. Organic... really this is mostly hocus pocus and paying to be certified. There's not really any difference now days due to regulations. Some tappers use to put a chemical in the hole to prevent it from closing up, but there's better methods now. If you pay for organic syrup, you're paying for the certification, that's it. Lastly, syrups range in flavor dramatically. It's mostly due to what type of maple tree is tapped. They can tap all varieties of Maples, as well as Boxelder (it's technically a maple). Sugar Maple trees are the best, since their sugar concentration is the sap is higher. The higher the starting concentration, the less you have to boil, and the less you'll break down the sugars, yielding a softer, yet strong maple flavor. I wish I could find some way to figure out what percentages of different trees each place taps. That would be gold. Regardless, this is a good deal, so enjoy. |
