I have been hitting up PF for over 2 years now. $10/mo, $99/yr all the time.
Open 5a Mon - 9p Fri is perfect, because I go after work at 2 am. No one there, I can do what I want without giving a crap. Sat/Sun 7a-7p. Every single person I have met there has been awesome to talk to, no attitude, no stupid crap, no muscleheads, people that just want to work out. There are some serious bodybuilders in there, soccer moms, MILFs, young kids, elderly.....and everyone just minds their own. I have heard weights dropped, and no one blinked an eye. Clean, well-kept, if you want a jacuzzi, sauna, swimming pool, and 3 mile lap, you are in the wrong place. If you want to go do your workout, then leave, cheap.....perfect place. No judging, to each their own. |

And the vast majority of people grabbing a free slice or two of pizza aren't planning it into their daily intake. While for you it may be your scheduled dinner, most people will just be supplementing their already unhealthy diet with more calories. The point is that serving free pizza is harmful to the health of PF's target member, and hypocritical. It goes against their mission statement to build "a lasting, active lifestyle," and against their philosophy to help members "get in shape." |

I've been a PF member...huh huh member...for over two years now. Never seen or heard the lunk alarm go off. I've had memberships at various other gyms over the past 10 years (Gold's Gym, Powerhouse Gym, YMCA, etc) and PF is the best by far. People actually wipe down the equipment when finished and don't act like they're in a hook up joint. It is more focused on cardio, but they do have a good selection of weight machines. Some of the machines could stand to have a few more pounds added to them, but I'm not trying to compete in the Mr. O contest, just stay in good soup-making shape. Cool.

The $99 promotional offer is available at the Dedham Plaza Mass location.
Remember to also check if your medical insurance will reimburse for gym memberships! You could potentially get a membership for free. Last edited by theboogeyman; 12-30-2012 at 05:55 PM.. |

I posted the same idea of previous PF threads: black card is the best value if you have someone working out with you like spouse, children, friends or even a SDer. You can have a guest everytime you go to the gym and both enjoy more benefits of the black card.
