Does not apply to upgrades on Sprint. Does not apply at all to any other carrier. Would have taken you about 30 extra seconds of work to research that and make your posting complete.

Great phone, but it was $50 cheaper on Amazon last week. May be worth waiting another week or two for another $99 deal. Some people were having luck getting Best Buy to price match, but since it's backordered on Amazon, the price match is very YMMV. (I ordered thru amazon on the 21st and the phone arrived on the 28th.)

 Regardless about price good or bad, deal or not deal, the poster tried to show that was a "good price" to every body about smart phone @ Sprint. He already noted that was for new account only. About matching price at any other carriers, this depends on the strategy you know & the communication skill you have and the people you talk to. This is not the mistake or something not good of the poster. Be fair & smart man.

Currently the Sprint new activation for Galaxy Note 2 is $139.99. I never saw the $99.99 price that people are talking about. I'd say this is a good deal and not worth all the thumbs down.
Just as a side note ... Has anyone tried using Google voice to get the new activation price on an upgrade? For example ... Transfer your number to Google Voice ... I believe there is a $20 fee from Google. Activate the new line on Amazon and transfer the number back in from Google Voice? Then you just merge the accounts with Sprint back into a single account. Change the rate plan to a family plan or whatever if necessary at that point? I'm considering this. Anyone ever tried it? edit: I suppose because of the back-order you may be without a phone for a little while. Also, the upgrade price is actually at $249.99 and the ad-a-line price is $169.99. Both cheaper than Sprint directly. huh: http://wireless.amazon.com/help/2...95050_t&c? Never noticed that. So I guess would still work with the ad-a-line price, but not as a new account.
