I just signed up for a Discover card today, so I wasn't able to make use of that deal, but one can snag an extra 4% from EB.

We're expecting our first in March, so this is good timing.

We got this deal the last time Walmart ran something like this to have at the in-laws. The crib is fine, but I'd definitely recommend upgrading the mattress. The one that came with it is really much lower in quality than the one we got ourselves, and our son was noticeably less comfortable in it.

How hot of a deal us this? Was looking for a white or Grey crib for baby due in June. Should I wait?

just a heads up. I would suggest buying any rails you need now, whether from a 3rd party or not. I am STILL waiting for rails from a purchase last year.

How was the $6 upgrade mattress compared to the $20 one, value wise? Checked both mattress for the retail price, it's about $15-$20 difference.

Both are well-rated on Amazon. We went for the $20 one as it seems to be firmer.

Went ahead and picked this up in white with the $20 upgraded matress. Just got done putting it together. Happy with the purchase. The matress seems pretty decent. Firm, but not as firm as the foam matress we bought our son 2 years ago. Crib is worth it for the deal. Definately better than the $99 cribs you see in stores. Easy to assemble, solid with no major flaws or defects. Its not what I would consider furniture quality, but Im glad we picked it up.

do deals like this pop up often?? I literally just found out I'm expecting my first kid...dont want to jump the gun and go on a buying spree...(have till Aug)...but hopefully I can learn a thing or two from you guys...I literally have zero clue as to diapers, car seats and cribs...wife said to "find your deals and buy whatever is safest".

I am totally in the same boat as you, but I am much further behind as we are expecting in May. Struggling with being a SlickDealer at heart and fighting my wife's urge to "buy the pretty pink stroller" for way more than what I find on here.

My suggestion is go and look at the cribs and figure out the design you want. Once you pick that, then when you see a good deal like this jump on it. You may spend a few more dollars now getting it than if you waited till the last minute but the stress and headaches you save by already having it set up when the third trimester rolls around will greatly outweigh the few dollars extra you spent.

I bought the Graco Lauren with Sealy mattress last year around this time for 150 from Walmart. So this deal is pretty standard (when you look at the downgraded mattress, it's about the same price.)

So decide on what style you like most. I liked the Graco Lauren's look better, and the headboard was more suited to adding paint or decals to spruce it up.

Oh, and tell your wife to testdrive the stroller. Pretty and pink might not be so nice when you're trying to open and close it, stuff it in the trunk, or taking it off roading (rolling over a field of grass even). We got a BOB. LOVE it. Completely worth the higher price tag (although we got an amazing deal on it )

Got two cinnamon and sertas for twins in June. Walmart made it quite the pain to order not just one, but two identical bundles. Had to clear cookies both times, but two identical orders seemed to have gone through. Thanks OP.
