Doubtful it's going to be a Money Maker now. The price will most likely update to $19.99 before rebate on 12/31/12.... especially now that the OP alerted the all of SD to it 3 days in advance of it going live. I'm sure there's nobody who works for Tiger Direct that monitors these deal sites, right?

Not really. It's not beneficial to the SD community to post a Money Maker deal 3 days in advance. Maybe a few hours.... but definitely not days. In all likelihood someone from marketing is going to see this thread on Monday and make sure that the price is $19.99 in advance of the deal going live.

If the OP thought about that... rather than rushing to be the first person to post it... we could have all made $10.02 on this deal. Now, we'll at best get the item Free.

What's the benefit of pre posting so far ahead? It just gets buried by the time it goes live and people don't see it. TDMVP73 also has a point. The best deals he's posted are the "midnight specials" which are MMs.

No benefit. The entire purpose is to post it before others. Those that see it will forget, the thread will get buried like you said. Also, the earlier you post, the more people will accidentally purchase it before the deal is on. Not good in any way.

I too believe that pre-posting a thread more than a day ahead of time will more than likely lead to the price getting jacked up. Marketing is most definitely watching slickdeals.

I mean by pre-posting it 3 days in advance, he'll definitely get credit for posting it first... even though the rest of us just got screwed out of $6 to $7 ($10 for Inner Circle) in our pockets.
