I bought a Sephora card and did not have to enter in any CC info. Most of the cards have $10+ minimums, but Sephora, CVS, and Barnes and Nobles are good, plus some restaurant cards.

How many friends do we need to qualify? Can't we just befriend each other on FB with our fake accounts?

I was able to get one on my FB account... but don't bother with fake Facebook accounts or one's without any friends or activity. The system will deny you your free $5 gift card.

I don't think it only looks at friends because I tried it on an account with plenty of befriended fake FB friends and it still popped up that message.

It probably also looks at account activity or something.

They do check for the number of friends you have. You'll need quite a lot of fake accounts to add each other as friends in order to take advantage of this promotion.

Yeah, no kidding. I think I had like 30 or something friends on one and it still got the error message.

You probably also have to have some pictures or other activity. These companies only want to give you Free Money if they can use you to market themselves to your friends.

"Oh, Jimmy is using this app so it must be awesome!"

They don't care about people who have low friend counts or who only get on Facebook to get coupons and deals.
