Need Best Deal on 60 inch TV asap

Please don't be mean or hurtful. This is my order post and I don't know where to post this-but-

I am looking to buy a 60 inch TV for my husband as a deployment gift. I have no idea what kind or style of TV so I need all of your help to find the best deal for a great TV!!

let me make sure i understand this correct your husband is going to get deployed so you are going to buy a 60in tv for yourself to watch while he is gone?

Yes we are looking for a TV that we can ad a camera to and connect to the Internet so he can read our children stories while he is away.

ummm may i suggest a computer? you may even have one already and could save a $1000 or so

what about using a laptop?
You can connect this way:

laptop connects for video chat like any normal computer
- hdmi or other output for audio/video to the tv - kids can see him on the big screen
- place the web cam on top of the tv or near it to enable him to see all the kids
- you use the laptop to control anything that needs controlling.

would likely be much cheaper assuming you have a tv to start.

if you want a new tv anyway and you were planning on doing this, the type of tv really should depend on what you will be using it for, your budget, and the room it will be in. I always vote plasma, but it may be overkill and over budget.

To the OP, good luck with your search. I've been looking at 60" TV's today as well and the Fry's deal is the cheapest I've found if you need one ASAP.

...this came in as an deal alert...the OP's been around for three years...

The frys deal said 1399 when it was in my cart-is that the one? Is it a good tv?
