I got the PX5/XP500 for $150 over Christmas, debating if I want to drop $50 for a rechargeable battery but mostly for the 5Ghz band. I've run into some interference, audio cutting out at various times with the PX5 on 2.4Ghz, yet other times it's been rock solid. Are there other features that the $50 buys?

Anyway I decided it would be worth the $50 over the PX5 I got on sale for $150 to go for these Black Ops for the 2.4/5Ghz band options, the xbox wireless chat adapter, and built in rechargeable battery over 2AA's. |

I just got me a set ordered after first running to Albertson's and getting 2 $20 grocery certificates for buying 2 $100 Amazon gift cards. From the offer in this post: http://slickdeals.net/f/5734738-A...-and-Noble
So after the $40 in groceries (which I would have spent anyhow) I am getting these for $160! |

-People who want to play video games or watch movies as loud as they want but don't want to disturb others (usually late at night, or for people with 2 or more TV sets in close proximity to each other). Decent corded gaming Headsets for this purpose alone start as low as 40 or 50 bucks. -People who want the above, plus 5.1 surround sound. Corded Headsets for this purpose start around 80 or 100 bucks. Here it's where it gets tricky. Some people want all the above, but they want it wireless. A headset like this, depending on the brand, iteration, and how technologically advanced they are compared to their peers, can set you back anywhere from 150 to 300 bucks, (if you're willing to compromise and settle for stereo instead of surround, you can get wireless headphones for gaming for around 80 or 100 bucks) and a small segment of the population, who happens to own both the PS3 and XBOX 360 consoles, is also willing to pay a little more for a headset that does all all the above, and can be used on both consoles so they don't have to buy both headsets. And this headset, has it all. All of the above, plus a few other features some people care about: rechargeable battery, dual band transmission, dual pairing Bluetooth, plus being an officially licensed call of duty product has some extra features that caters to those who play the game, like call of duty specific sound configuration presets, etc Also have in mind this headset was just launched a couple of months ago (so pretty much you're getting state of the art here) at $300, it's been steady at 250 for a while with a couple of deals here and there, and now and this deal is offering again at it the $200 price point. When it comes to wireless gaming surround headsets, this is basically the headset for people who want to have their cake and eat it too. Like I said, its not for everybody. How much is a headset like this really worth? Depends on the person, their needs and their budget. Last edited by TheBigmac; 12-30-2012 at 10:39 PM.. |

I currently have a pair of A50s and I do enjoy them. The biggest feature for me is being able to play on my xbox while listening to the shows I recorded on my computer. I do this by getting the optical cable from the xbox and the usb audio from the computer. I guess I could also do this using bluetooth on the Tangos but have you tried to do anything like that before? these are tempting since I can talk on the phone while playing which is something I can't do with the A50s. |

Anyone know the best way to connect this to my Onyko NR609, allowing everything connected to it to lay through these?
I am thinking of using the standard line in connection on this from my zone 2 line out on th Onyko. But this will be the standard red and white connection versus the digital through an optical out, which the Onyko only has the standard analog output and HDMI. So I think this should work but hoping it will sounds just as good. So if anyone has any ideas or suggestions let me know. |
