This is one of the best psu's and fully modular for user convenience. You don't have to stuff the back of your case with excess wires anymore.

At the moment the only PSU I can find that fit that range is the PC Power and Cooling 1200W Platinum MK III for 190 bucks on newegg which is a very good deal considering the similar 1200 W Platinum PSU from Corsair or Seasonic or Antec costs at least 300 bucks or more. In addition, professional reviews from JonnyGuru and Guru3d praised the PC Power and Cooling 1200W MK III a lot and it even beat out the Seasonic 1200W Platinum and Corsair 1250W Platinum PSU as well which is incredible. All I need now is some kind of code to make it even sweeter, but I guess 190 bucks for a top notch 1200W Platinum Rated from a reputable brand is a good deal. FYI: Not sure if it matters but this is the 3rd generation release of this power supply, based on an entirely redesigned circuit. You can tell this by the fan grill design as well as the KM with superscript 3 on the printed label on the supply as well as the newly designed cables (no mesh sleeves on most of the cables like the previous generation).
Here is a review of the 650W version: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/ar...eview/1690 I don't know why I want this....I just do. I must resist....I must resist. I don't need this.....I must resist. Also, FP worthy!!! I would give reps to the OP but I must spread the wealth a bit more, lol!

Quad graphics card? Dual slot cpu? =================================
My days as a sales person @ bestbuy Customer: This stupid phone I bought last week won't work right Me: So it's the phone thats stupid and not you right? Customer: I'm looking for an easy way to access my media files with my laptop when I'm in the yard. Me: Sports Authority is having a sale on walking shoes. |

In general, a 650W PSU is more than enough for a single video card computer with everything else max out including multiple HDDs, fans, CPU overclocked etc... But since this PSU is so cheap you may as well buy it instead of paying the same price for a quality 650W PSU. |

I'm in for one just because this is the lowest price I have seen for something like this. I don't really need it but my current system is 5 years old and this should work well when I eventually upgrade. I hope this is as good as my Corsair VX550's have been.
Watch the rebate on this. It's only valid for today and must be postmarked by Jan 30. |

My calculated full load is around 750W or so which make this 750W PSU a bit tight. I'm using OCZ ZX 850W at the moment and its doing fine but I'm looking for a good deal on PSU for my future build. The 5 years old C2D my parents are using needs an upgrade in a year or 2 and I plan to give my parents my current computer along with the OCZ ZX 850W hence I'm looking for a good deal on PSU now. I just pulled the trigger on the 1200W PC Power and Cooling Platinum for 170 bucks (about 45% off) after $30 MIR and $20 VMEVISA discount on newegg which is a steal actually considering the similar 1200W Platinum PSU from Corsair and Seasonic is 300 bucks or higher. Debating on whether to purchase this or not. It is definitely a hot deal but it might sit around for a year or more before I need it as my current Antec 900W Current Gamer is serving me well. Is it worth getting this if it'll sit around for maybe a year or more?

Sometimes it's nice to have a spare PSU just because if one goes out you're probably not going to be able to get a deal on a new one right away. I have been stuck in that situation several times and ended up paying way more than I wanted. With that said, you know another deal will come along over the next year. Although most likely not any cheaper than this. |

Newegg is probably trying to clear out inventory at this point (Amazon also cleared out inventory on this unit couple months ago and no longer restock them) hence you see the rock bottom price. If you rather wait, there may be other PSU that will go around the same price or a bit lower, but the quality of those PSU are not as high as this one ie Gold Rated Efficiency, Complete Modular, Top Tier Brand Name.
