Is the jean quality ok? I haven't ordered jeans from them in a few years but the ones I had were really hard and stiff. Also do they run true to size? Did you keep them? laugh out loud
I didnt keep them. I had what I thought was a hot date laugh out loud and I was trying many different items to try to find a good daytime date outfit.

I guess I didnt think they were worth the price at the time. The jean material wasnt particularly soft, they werent like jeggings. It wasnt bad though .Overall I think they were kind of middle of the road? IDK. Hard to describe.

I think I found I needed to size up in the high waist skinnies, I am normally a size 2 in the express jeans but I thought in the VS high waists I actually needed a 4 and maybe even a 6. It was confusing.

I wouldnt call them the sexiest jeans out there but they do the job.

Thank you! I'll probably only wear them with longer shirts but I think a high waist will conceal my pouchy stomach better than low waist will. I have trouble finding any high waist skinnies in stores to try on.

I take it your date wasn't as hot as you thought it would be huh? Frown I haven't had a date in ages. I'm wearing cute clothes to go out and buy more cute clothes.laugh out loud

I am now shopping at Express more and skipping on VS deal Teehee

Went to mall yesterday and bought one top, one cami and one sweatertop from Express.
Also NY&Co had $10 deal, bunch of items for $10 including jeans, dresses and jeggins. Many wedges for 5.99 only. Not sure it is still on in store today too but if anyone interested it may be worth calling local store and making mall trip. I bought 3 skinny jeans for $10 each. Those and VS skinnies fit me well I am no go for Express skinny jeans or jeggings shake head

Thanks for leading me to the belts :wink 2: I should have a go-to list of cheap items too. Their "wish list" feature is really great, miles above the one on VS' site.

On 6pm, exactly! I thought I would be OK with the shoes since they were just a different color, but nope - that made them totally different in fit and I walk right out of 'em Crazy

AZN!!!! Target Bridesmaid Dresses in Purple [target.com] There's gotta be something in there they can all agree on Faint

i heard that about missoni over the weekend. Frown

i agree with everything about this bride.

i sent azn links to some of those bm dresses before and i think she said bride or bm-zilla already vetoed them.

So sad about the plane crash : (

Thanks for the Target dresses! I felt like I checked everything EXCEPT Target! Most of those dresses I'm fine with. Hopefully the other girls are too. BMzilla has already commented "ooOoooooOOoo..interesting" Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Bride already turned down all my suggestions from yesterday. :pr ay: Bride picks something. I'm sure I'll work the catwalk in sweats and heels! :l ol:

Bridezilla has about ~100-150 guests? I agree about the brownies. Plus with no storage space, it will get moldy with warmer weather in April. It seems like it's being done 7 days in advance. guh-rrrroooss!! I don't think I would be willing to eat it.

I caved and was a little nicer about song recs, but I still told her it's gotta be her choice. I didn't give her any particular songs just artists like Taylor Swift. :e vil:
i thought i sent you a link to one of those dresses (the chiffon one that's not strapless) and i thought you said she vetoed it? if not, they are really a great affordable option. i wish they had those last year when i was looking for dresses!

also, what song recs does she need? if it's for choosing songs for first dance/etc, she should be able to get some song lists from her DJ (please tell me she's booked one) to look at, but good ol' google will be her best friend on that one. i am kinda anal and i didn't want to use a song that had questionable lyrics - i wanted the lyrics to all be wedding-appropriate (this is hard bc i usually like songs of a darker nature). pm me and let me know if you want the list from my dj - i'd be happy to send that along. i have it in pdf i think.

Well, that is the thing, the high waist really nips in I think. So you would still have a muffin top of some sort unless you size up. I think that was my problem. I am small, but my tummy tends to bloat when I eat LOL. So I was trying to accomodate that laugh out loud

It was okay but not worth all that effort of trying to look perfect for sure. Let's just say it was a huge misappropriation of energies. laugh out loud For the occasion I think I could have easily gotten away with any old pants lying around here. Live and learn...

Not sure about the shopping of cute clothes to get more clothes laugh out loud That seems like a loop that you would just go around and around in laugh out loud I say get off the merry go round while you can! laugh out loud jk

Waiting to place an Express order backfired on me. The prices went up. I didn't really need more tops anyway. It's not looking like I'm going to get those 920 points. Will the leftover points carry over to the next period? I've never paid attention to it.

Quote from azn1x6flame :
The brownies are the favors she's giving out as gifts. I guess they are supposed to come in a mug or something? I don't see how that won't be messy while it's being put into the mug? :con fused:
I've never heard of anyone using that for a favor, but I don't read wedding sites anymore either. I hope the brownies go into a bag, before going into the mug. They could be a mess to eat otherwise. If I were going to ask people to help me self cater a wedding, I'd make sure it was people who cooked well. laugh out loud My sisters & I help in family & close friends weddings up there often, but 2 of my sisters are excellent cooks & another is very good. I used to be a good cook too, but I don't get much practice anymore. Now, I'm mostly the bow & flower arranging person. To ask bridesmaids that may or may not cook to help you prepare the food is taking a big chance. I hope it turns out well.

It's always sad when a plane disappears. I feel for the families affected.

Pretty much everything about Express' site is better than VS'. VS needs to add the low to high & other search options.

Thanks

I tend to size up in just about everything at VS. I still end up sending back a bunch of stuff but it feels better sending things back because they're too big than it does when they're too small. LMAO

I'm probably using the shopping merry go round as a substitute for what I don't have. I keep my eyes open but since everyone says you'll find someone when you stop looking, I probably should close them. Coverlaugh

I prefer natural waist too but sometimes it seems like they've been discontinued by every store in the world.

Men are so weird. They like women who are confident and put together, but not so put together that it looks like it required effort. I try not to think about what they look for anymore because I'm not sure they really know what they want until they see it.

I've definitely gotten carried away in material things before. I don't think that will be happening to me anymore. The more the people around you settle down, the more you wonder when that's going to happen for you and no semi-annual sale can make me forget that I don't have date this weekend. laugh out loud

On the brownies - Exactly! Same reason I hesitate to eat my bro's GF's cake pops. They are near wet in the middle and made 1-2 weeks in advance and not refrigerated.... :shoc king: It's one of those "I'm sure it's fine, but I have enough health concerns without adding this variable" :teeh ee: With all the stuff to do, she's going to have to make some hard decisions on what to let go of or they will be made for her. I had that many guests and we struggled to put exactly 18 gourmet jelly beans into tins for favors. Baking is totally out of the question and she shouldn't be pawning that crazy junk on anyone else. If she gets stuck with the non-essentials, she'll have to start trimming her to-do list down. For your sake and everyone involved, I hope she extricates her cabeza from her poop chute soon. :rolle yes:
Hm...those cake pops sound questionable. I only eat cake pops if they're cold...which means it's been refrigerated. Yuck on the no fridge!

Ha - ! Yeah, she finally admitted to being stressed. I told her to let go of the baking of the brownies and just do what you suggested. But she responded to all and then she told us what she wanted us to do exactly and what ingredients to put in. I guess these from scratch brownies are going to be microwaved, not baked, which makes it more questionable to me. Crazy I told her yes for now, but may bail if I have other commitments.

Hm...about those target dresses, she said no. Frown

Yah, she said no to those Target dresses again.

I guess she really liked the VS dress I sent her, but her slow butt made it so that there's only M left. Oh well. I showed her some ASOS dresses, maybe she will pick one. That lace dress you liked that I linked some time ago - looks great on her, but is casual really really short. Like mid thigh short/butt grazing short. She probably won't use that. I wouldn't wear it after for anything vomit There's a Macy's lace dress [macys.com] she's thinking about and I like it. Pray she picks one.

So glad your bride picked her dress quick! Whee

Yes, if you don't mind sending me those wedding songs along, I can pass it to her. That will probably help her. She did get a DJ. I guess he didn't provide her with a list. She's got a blank spreadsheet with stuff like "bridal party entrance" "bouquet tossing song." She hired a harpist - I don't see why the harpist can't come up with some ceremony songs?! Confused I've done all I can because I don't see why I should research songs for her which is HER job. Plus, my taste is so different from hers and I'm not giving my songs away! laugh out loud So I declined to even put in any special requests. Maybe some uptempo requests I will request. I did send her your makeup/hair recs that you sent me a while ago. nod

Nope, no brownies going in a bag. I guess the ingredients (cocoa, flour, etc) will be put in order in a mug and heated in a microwave. I can't imagine doing 100-150 of those Mad She even said that they don't taste like they should and she's tweaking the recipe. That sounds dangerous. I just think microwaving something will definitely be different than baking something. All the molecules in the food react differently. OH well. I feel for the sucker who may be eating my creations. Crap like that never turns out well when I do it. I am a box mix kinda girl. I never do cake, and stuff from scratch well. I try though. I've make pumpkin pie from scratch like 7 times already and the dough and insides are STILL inconsistent and questionable shake head

I agree. Thanks to low cut jeans younger generations no longer have a defined waist or have what we considered a flat stomach even if they work out religiously. Yet, they continue to make them & pretty much nothing else. Sometimes, I think I must be the only person who thinks it's a bad look. Confused

In my experience, men aren't that much of a mystery. They just want us to think they are. laugh out loud Most men will say they prefer a girl w/o makeup. That usually translates to, "I already think you're beautiful, & don't want other men looking at you." How many times do you see women who look plain get 2nd looks? Now, how many times do you see women who dress nicely, wear at least some makeup, & style their hair turn heads? (As a side note, men & women have very different ideas of what styles look hot on a woman.) To attract a man's attention, you need to stand out from the casual, plain masses. The other option is to hang out in groups so a guy can really get to know you. In that case, the way one looks may not be as important. Unfortunately, men can't see your personality at first glance. You need to give them something they can see & find attractive.

I agree, trying to figure them out is useless. I am pretty relaxed. I think the real reason I haven't found a man is because I want one so bad.

I don't love skinny jeans myself but I love knee boots so they kinda go hand in hand. Bootcut is my favorite but they don't show off your shoes and mine are always too long and need alterations.

I went to VS to do a return yesterday and got a flier for a hot pink striped tote with what looks like green polka dots on the inside. Starts in stores 1/18-20. Will probably see it online soon! Whee I'm going to flip it inside out to use!

I agree. I used to be like that and trying to look for the guy. The time I gave up and just decided to meet people and have fun and experience life was when I met DBF. Best things happen when you aren't looking! nod
