I'd rather use the coupons at Walmart. Buy the item, then bring to Customer Service and return and get $4.99 in Walmart GC

How does *that* work? First, what makes you believe that the Customer Service person will know (much less care) what the maximum value of the coupon is, and, second, the regular price of a Coke brand 12-pack at any WM in my area is $3.98 (plus deposit) last I checked.

I don't see how this would be possible...certainly not above board, anyway.

Well, that depends on how you define things, doesn't it? They just got done with the GIFT code promotion on red caps, wherein you'd get your normal 3 points and when you entered the code "GIFT", you'd receive an extra 10 bonus points. Sign out, sign in again, lather, rinse, repeat. That's a *heck* of a lot better than just double points.

Usually they'll have double points on brands they want to promote. I rarely (if ever) see double points on any Coke or Diet Coke flaps, but often see them on other low-or-no calorie flaps like (especially) Coke Zero or others like that.

This is clearly stated in their return policy on items returned where a coupon is used.

Is anyone having problems with the MCR site right now?

Is this what you're referring to? If so, that's pretty much flawed thinking, there. If you're returning the item to WM, and the receipt has the item listed at $3.98, debited $3.98 for the coupon used, why on earth would they give you more than that? In this case, yes, the maximum possible value of the coupon would be $4.99, but the coupon's *value* would be capped at $3.98, since that's what would constitute a "free" 12-pack. I don't see them coughing up extra cash just because you used a coupon.

I think that you could easily run into problems doing things this way.

Last year, the coupon worked just fine for any flavor or variety of brand listed above, as I know from personal experience.

Now I wouldn't press my luck with Dr. Pepper or Schweppes Ginger Ale. Despite being distributed by Coke, no mention of them is on the coupon.

I asked the manager tonight if they ever get Sprite Zero. He said that they only get about six boxes a week because it sells very poorly in their store. He didn't give me the option about special ordering and it was before I saw this response. He said the coke delivery is on Wednesday so I could try back then.
