January 1 - December 31, 2013 version
Welcome to the official SD My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk MCR since 2006!
(We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use MCR membership info to signup, or offer MCR points as prizes.)

Current MCR Bonus Points, (which do not count in the 120-point weekly limit)
  • 10 Bonus Points are prizes in the MCR Merry Minutes of Winning [mycokerewards.com] instant win game.
  • 100 Bonus Points for signing up for Southwest Airlline's Rapid Rewards program [eprize.com].
  • Double Points on caps by purchasing beverages at Kangaroo Express and entering the keyword "kangaroo" and then the MCR cap code. Limit 2 Double cap Points per member, per day. Valid July 1 - Dec. 31, 2013.
My Coke Rewards (MCR) FAQ:

- How may I contact them?
  • Phone: 1-866-674-2653 anytime 9am-7pm EST Monday through Friday to reach an agent directly
  • email address: mycokerewards.support@na.ko.com
  • Ask Chip, (formerly Allysa and Hank) feature on the MCR site
- When does the promotion end? The program will end on December 31, 2014, (but often has been renewed).

- Codes with 12 characters are still be accepted; (still working as of Dec. 30, 2013.)

- Weekly Point Limits, Invalids & Start and End of Weeks:

Change: The weekly point limit is changing from 120 points per week, (ppw) to 100 ppw, effective Jan. 13, 2014. 120 ppw will continue until the end of the "Coke week" at 11:59:59 Jan. 12, 2014.

Up to 120 points per week are permitted to be entered per account per week. A week starts at 12:00 a.m. E.T., each Monday, and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.T. each following Sunday.

Any Bonus Points earned are not included in the 120 point weekly limit.

Change: There is a weekly limit of 10,000 ppw.

From the 2014 rules:
"The current phase of the Program begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on January 1, 2014 and is scheduled to end at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2014 (the "Redemption Period"), but Sponsor reserves the right to shorten, extend, suspend, modify, or cancel the Program, at its discretion, at any time.

"Codes may be entered beginning 12:00 a.m. ET on January 1, 2014 until 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30, 2014 (the "Collection Period")."

"However, if an Enrollee enters 20 invalid codes on a given day Enrollee will be unable to enter any more codes that day."

- Inactivity

"If a Member’s Account has remained inactive for a period of 90 days or more, the Member will forfeit any points remaining in the Account, without compensation. Failure to either credit points to an Account or redeem points from an Account constitutes inactivity for purposes of this condition."

This means keep adding codes to your balance. Or redeem an award which costs 0 points. If you account has been inactive and points have been forfeited, send an e-mail to Coke and ask for them to please restore your points. Members have often had their points returned.

I know it's just a guess, but from past experience how long before there will be a double points offer? I assume there has never been a double points offer for red caps?
Only the Coke God's know for sure -

Worthy

But I believe Jimmy said Promos usually are around the first of the month.
I also read that they will probably have Something, Something for Super Bowl . . . .

I'd rather use the coupons at Walmart. Buy the item, then bring to Customer Service and return and get $4.99 in Walmart GC

How does *that* work? First, what makes you believe that the Customer Service person will know (much less care) what the maximum value of the coupon is, and, second, the regular price of a Coke brand 12-pack at any WM in my area is $3.98 (plus deposit) last I checked.

I don't see how this would be possible...certainly not above board, anyway.

Well, that depends on how you define things, doesn't it? They just got done with the GIFT code promotion on red caps, wherein you'd get your normal 3 points and when you entered the code "GIFT", you'd receive an extra 10 bonus points. Sign out, sign in again, lather, rinse, repeat. That's a *heck* of a lot better than just double points.

Usually they'll have double points on brands they want to promote. I rarely (if ever) see double points on any Coke or Diet Coke flaps, but often see them on other low-or-no calorie flaps like (especially) Coke Zero or others like that.

This is clearly stated in their return policy on items returned where a coupon is used.

"If coupon value exceeds the price of the item, the excess may be given to the customer as cash or applied toward the basket purchase."

Is this what you're referring to? If so, that's pretty much flawed thinking, there. If you're returning the item to WM, and the receipt has the item listed at $3.98, debited $3.98 for the coupon used, why on earth would they give you more than that? In this case, yes, the maximum possible value of the coupon would be $4.99, but the coupon's *value* would be capped at $3.98, since that's what would constitute a "free" 12-pack. I don't see them coughing up extra cash just because you used a coupon.

I think that you could easily run into problems doing things this way.

That's stealing from Coke. Not very ethical.

Just tell CVS what flavor you want, they can order it.
Would they give you the special order at the sale price? Thanks.

Whoever listed this one is not too bright!! Anyone could take the codes before the sale. I checked a few and they are used!
Those are probably used codes posted in the sales ad.

The coupons don't even list that flavor only the originals. Unless you get someone nice enough to let you exchange.
Though the coupon doesn't explicitly list Cherry Coke Zero, it does list "Coca-Cola Zero". Though the coupon doesn't explicitly list Sprite Zero, it does list "Sprite".
Though the coupon doesn't explicitly list Diet Barqs, it does list "Barqs"

Last year, the coupon worked just fine for any flavor or variety of brand listed above, as I know from personal experience.

Now I wouldn't press my luck with Dr. Pepper or Schweppes Ginger Ale. Despite being distributed by Coke, no mention of them is on the coupon.

I asked the manager tonight if they ever get Sprite Zero. He said that they only get about six boxes a week because it sells very poorly in their store. He didn't give me the option about special ordering and it was before I saw this response. He said the coke delivery is on Wednesday so I could try back then.

My wife was disappointed to see a list of approved beverages. She prefers Dr. Pepper, which falls in with Coke in the area we shop at the most. Anytime there a sale on Coke she grabs her sum Peppers.
In our area, Dr. P is bottled by the 7-UP guys. I like diet Dr. P best. Regular Dr. P is too sweet for me.

Is Coke Zero a marketing flop like "new" Coke? For some reason Coke is promoting the heck out of it opposed to the other Coke flavors. I personally think it's nasty, but then again I'm addicted to Diet Coke unless it's from a fountain. For fountain drinks, I'm ashamed to admit that I actually prefer Diet Pepsi.
