January 1 - December 31, 2013 version
Welcome to the official SD My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk MCR since 2006!
(We often discuss Coke promotions, (texting games, sweepstakes, etc.), which use MCR membership info to signup, or offer MCR points as prizes.)

Current MCR Bonus Points, (which do not count in the 120-point weekly limit)
  • 10 Bonus Points are prizes in the MCR Merry Minutes of Winning [mycokerewards.com] instant win game.
  • 100 Bonus Points for signing up for Southwest Airlline's Rapid Rewards program [eprize.com].
  • Double Points on caps by purchasing beverages at Kangaroo Express and entering the keyword "kangaroo" and then the MCR cap code. Limit 2 Double cap Points per member, per day. Valid July 1 - Dec. 31, 2013.
My Coke Rewards (MCR) FAQ:

- How may I contact them?
  • Phone: 1-866-674-2653 anytime 9am-7pm EST Monday through Friday to reach an agent directly
  • email address: mycokerewards.support@na.ko.com
  • Ask Chip, (formerly Allysa and Hank) feature on the MCR site
- When does the promotion end? The program will end on December 31, 2014, (but often has been renewed).

- Codes with 12 characters are still be accepted; (still working as of Dec. 30, 2013.)

- Weekly Point Limits, Invalids & Start and End of Weeks:

Change: The weekly point limit is changing from 120 points per week, (ppw) to 100 ppw, effective Jan. 13, 2014. 120 ppw will continue until the end of the "Coke week" at 11:59:59 Jan. 12, 2014.

Up to 120 points per week are permitted to be entered per account per week. A week starts at 12:00 a.m. E.T., each Monday, and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.T. each following Sunday.

Any Bonus Points earned are not included in the 120 point weekly limit.

Change: There is a weekly limit of 10,000 ppw.

From the 2014 rules:
"The current phase of the Program begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on January 1, 2014 and is scheduled to end at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2014 (the "Redemption Period"), but Sponsor reserves the right to shorten, extend, suspend, modify, or cancel the Program, at its discretion, at any time.

"Codes may be entered beginning 12:00 a.m. ET on January 1, 2014 until 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30, 2014 (the "Collection Period")."

"However, if an Enrollee enters 20 invalid codes on a given day Enrollee will be unable to enter any more codes that day."

- Inactivity

"If a Member’s Account has remained inactive for a period of 90 days or more, the Member will forfeit any points remaining in the Account, without compensation. Failure to either credit points to an Account or redeem points from an Account constitutes inactivity for purposes of this condition."

This means keep adding codes to your balance. Or redeem an award which costs 0 points. If you account has been inactive and points have been forfeited, send an e-mail to Coke and ask for them to please restore your points. Members have often had their points returned.

For people that have been around for a while, how often do they offer double points? I have only been paying attention to this thread since last July, and it seemed that there was some kind of double points offer every month. Is January normally a slow month for offers?

Last year it seemed like something was doubling once a month. If I could I'd search, but it would be more interesting than fruitful. Last January I believe they doubled Coke Zero. I bought some at CVS for the gift cards, and I had the twelve 12-packs a long time; I drank a few past their due dates. laugh out loud

I wouldn't think they would offer double points on Coke Zero while this Superbowl square promo is going on......but one never knows with Coke.

My Coke Zero mini football came in the mail today. It's rather cute - it's 6 inches long, and inflated rather then a solid nerf-like ball. The kids like it :-)

Go ahead and Enter them. The important thing is to get your 120 points per week into your account.
Most people here Save the Black Caps for last (Coke Zero, Minute Maid and Powerade), as these are the Caps that are most likely to have the Double Points Promotions attached to them . . . .
Quote from knut View Post :
There isn't a definitive anwser to that. You should consider what you want out of the program and how many and how often you get codes. If you have one account and get 40 caps a week then of course you should enter weekly. If you have multiple accounts and receive less than 120 pts per account per week to enter then you may want to wait until codes are doubled.

I have 4 accounts and got about 500 caps last year. I don't enter codes unless they are doubled and was lucky because I had many left when the "gift" promo gave you 13 points per cap. Had I entered the caps immediately I would have recieved 1500 points, instead I netted over 6000 points.

I usually keep the red and black caps around for text games, and also because I'm usually stocked with other codes to fill my 120/wk quota.
Thanks and repped! I'm just beginning MCR, so these tips are invaluable to a noob like me Big Grin Keeping the black+red caps, will enter in as many other-colored caps as possible Smilie

Well, so far I've gotten 22 entries into the Coke Zero sweepstakes (10 from caps, 12 from flaps). I hope to have 100 by the end- just need to get some more Coke Zero caps. Smilie

The Promoted item in Several Wednesday Deals (At Least 3 Times)
Whole Living Magazine has Shut Down Publication.
I personally ordered this on 3 separate Wednesday Deals. I was wondering why this was a Wednesday Deal so often? Answer is they were trying to boost their circulation.

I am owed another 18 months on my subscriptions. I called Whole Living CS and asked about my remaining issues?
The CS Rep told me that I would receive a Refund - Then said "Oh, Wait - This is through Coke Rewards" - And advised me to call MCR.
Oh No, call MCR - The CS Rep said letters were going out and I guess I'll wait to see what the letter has to say before attempting to deal with MCR to get my lost points back. I believe it was 100 points for a years subscription, so I am owed 150 points. The regular points for this magazine was 200 points if not purchased on one of the Wednesday Deals.

Now - Just trying to get them to give me my points back will be Trying.
I wanted to give other members who purchased this magazine through MCR the heads up on this issue . . . .

Dontknow

That's the ONLY reason you see magazines offered on MCR, Recycle Bank, Rewards Gold, etc. They want to inflate (artificially, kind of) their circulation numbers for advertisers and potential advertisers.

I wish you luck on getting points back. Some are having issues with Omaha Steak canceling multiple orders. OS wouldn't refund the "gift cards" and MCR wouldn't refund the points. So, I wonder if the magazine subscription will be different.

Please keep us updated.

So, with Omaha Steak, are they now limiting one order, per household, per year with the MCR "gift cards". I think they could benefit from a SD'er working in the shipping/IT. They should identify and combine multiple orders to the same house. There is so much loss in packaging/ad material/shipping costs.

I got an email from coke yesterday saying my $10 Dominos card from 12 days was undeliverable even though I received everything else I ordered same address and everything. It said that the 180 points would be credited to my account and that I could reorder(of course this is no longer available). I am not going to contact them because I might have abused the "gift" code a little but that stinks nonetheless.
