Welcome to the official SD My Coke Rewards Discussion Thread, proud to talk MCR since 2006!

Current MCR Bonus Points, (which do not count in the 120-point weekly limit)
  • 10 Bonus Points are prizes in the MCR Merry Minutes of Winning [mycokerewards.com] instant win game.
  • 100 Bonus Points for signing up for Southwest Airlline's Rapid Rewards program [eprize.com].
  • Double Points on caps by purchasing beverages at Kangaroo Express and entering the keyword "kangaroo" and then the MCR cap code. Limit 2 Double cap Points per member, per day. Valid July 1 - Dec. 31, 2013.
My Coke Rewards (MCR) FAQ:

- When does the promotion end? The program will end on December 31, 2014, (but often has been renewed).

- Codes with 12 characters are still be accepted; (still working as of Dec. 30, 2013.)

- Weekly Point Limits, Invalids & Start and End of Weeks:

Change: The weekly point limit is changing from 120 points per week, (ppw) to 100 ppw, effective Jan. 13, 2014. 120 ppw will continue until the end of the "Coke week" at 11:59:59 Jan. 12, 2014.

Up to 120 points per week are permitted to be entered per account per week. A week starts at 12:00 a.m. E.T., each Monday, and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.T. each following Sunday.

Any Bonus Points earned are not included in the 120 point weekly limit.

Change: There is a weekly limit of 10,000 ppw.

From the 2014 rules:
"The current phase of the Program begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on January 1, 2014 and is scheduled to end at 11:59 p.m. ET on December 31, 2014 (the "Redemption Period"), but Sponsor reserves the right to shorten, extend, suspend, modify, or cancel the Program, at its discretion, at any time.

"Codes may be entered beginning 12:00 a.m. ET on January 1, 2014 until 11:59 p.m. ET on November 30, 2014 (the "Collection Period")."

Some of you might remember my sob story from back in December....

If not, here is a summary. I had opened a second account last summer for my son. He had been grabbing up loose caps from his school and deserved his own account. He was to saving for Nike gift cards. The mistake I made was that I used my name and date of birth for the second account. I had thought he had to be 18 to participate (that is what I get for not reading the rules).

Anyway, right in the middle of the 12 days of Christmas both accounts were "locked". I received no notices, no e-mails, no nothing...I called customer service and they were very nice but told me that my accounts were closed for the duration of the program (which means forever). I spoke to two different managers, I admitted to both that I made a mistake and agreed that the second account should be closed. But I also made the argument that there was not a problem with my first account and tried to convince them that the first account should be released. I was very polite and contrite for my mistake but they refused to even consider my request. They also informed me (during this process) that they were reviewing my accounts to see "what kind of member I was". When I asked for an explanation of that statement, they said they were checking to see if I abused the Family bonus. I had not done so but it did not make a difference in their decision.

After I spoke to the second manager, I asked for the person above the manager. I was told there was "no one" for me to talk to. She had stated that she was the final judge and jury in the matter. She was very rude and abraisive. I thought she might call the Coke police on me. But, I felt really bad for my son who had already ordered a Wal Mart gift card and McD's card durnig the 12 days. Both had been stopped before he received them.

I stewed on it a few weeks and then sent a letter to the CEO of Coke, I figured what the heck to I have to lose? For two months I heard nothing. Then this past weekend I started receiving e-mails telling me that I was about to lose the points in my account for the lack of action in my account. I felt like they were rubbing salt in the wound.

Last night I decided to sign in expecting the usual "cannot find account" message. Surprisingly, my account was active again and I just was able to enter a cap into the account. I receivied no e-mails, no notice, no calls, just the e-mail saying my points were going to expire. Now, my son is the proud owner of my old account and I can stop feeling guilty (even though I bought him gift cards that he lost because I was dumb).

Just a cautionary tale.....
Glad to hear you got some satisfaction! I had a similar experience with customer service for a similar 'reason' our two family accounts were locked. I gently pushed with the manager and it didn't really go anywhere. Neither account maxed out each week and the one that ended up being killed was the oldest (early days of MCR program) though it had the lowest amount of points. I can understand MCR trying to reign in abusers, but it is unfortunate they are going after long term account holders that are not even close to maxing out their accounts.

the get 2 for 5.99 is not the best deals if there are 2 of you because after there fees for delivery and tax and tip you still send up paying 8.00 after you use 2 of your 5.00 gift cards. i get the 2 topping pizza and use 2 5.00 gift cards and after everything including tip you pay 3.00
With Shoprunner you can get free Domino's delivery. Shoprunner usually has 30-90 day free promos and often that can get extended to a year so it is handy when combined with Domino's MCR gift cards.

I totally agree with your thoughts. I added about 30-40 points a week in my original account (on average) and my son 50-60. The only time I maxed out the points was when it was a double points promotion. I tried to point that fact out to the managers and they were truly lacking common sense. I explained that I could understand if I was adding 120 every week but it was not even close. Truly not seeing the forest for the trees....

Huffpo ran the story of the mother-daughter Coke scam.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/201...66246.html

Watching the video is 90 seconds I'll never get back. If the hosts don't know how they pulled it off, the hosts should have gotten in touch with people who do know:

Other stories, (not the Huffpo story!), said they had 600 email accounts. With the AMOEs, they could have acquired all the ways to enter they needed without having 600 cell phones. They won all kinds of virtual prizes and e-gift cards, and then sold them on Ebay.

Don't forget those awesome 5 music downloads!! Laugh1

I finally Reading part of the rules! Online AMOE is from April 1 to April 10. Isn't the championship game on April 8? So the online game continues for another 2 days? Confused

AMOE codes go for 1 entry into the sweeps (to win a GM vehicle) and 1 virtual game piece but 0 credits for the gear. Frown

If I want a t-shirt for 24 credits it will take me either:

24 caps (72 points)

12 flaps from 12-packs (120 points)

8 flaps from 24-packs (160 points)

This doesn't seem right, but who am I to question the logic of MCR.
Keep in mind though that those points are still going into your MCR total. The prizes and bracket entries are in addition to. And, before roo fizzled out, you could also get double points on them and still use them to randomly get bracket entries and add to your gear credits.

Just won a SouthWest Round trip ticket on the Subway game. Odds for that seem to be much better the Coke IWG. So far won 40 MCR points, $2 gift card and now the ticket. On the 5 Coke IWG this month, zip, zero, nada.

Update to Domino's e-gift card story. Ended up ordering the 2 medium for $5.99 each, total $13.08 with tax. The site only allows 2 gift cards (thanks, gismo28244), then asks for a credit card for the balance. So $3.08 for 2 pizzas is cool from my cheapo perspective. Also, turns out they moved the store about 6 blocks closer to my house, walking distance, really, unless you're carrying 2 hot pizzas.

Yeah, but even with amoe, winning is still left up to chance. The fact that they got prizes they acquired were up in the 6ish figures is what is baffling, that's so many prizes to actually win, instant chance-wise. I definitely did not win anything during the amoe portion of the last twist.text game, despite playing everyday (won 2 prizes before amoe). Personally, I think they're alluding to hacking and actually knowing when the winning times were, especially when they mentioned other people might have been involved.

I keep hearing that there is a 2,000 point reward limit. is this true? what exactly does this mean??
I think what you are mistaken about is that there is no reward listed on MCR that cost more than 2000 points.

Not sure if anyone has posted this, but if you are trying for the Subway footlong frenzy instant win game, you can use ANY small bag of Doritos (Cool Ranch or Regular) When I say any, I mean not at a Subway.
I bought a small bag at work today and there was a code in the back just above the bar code surrounded in a red square. There are no Subways here. Nothing else was on the bag or near the code. It looked similar to the 'free' codes I was sent, so I figured I would try it, even though the bag was not at a subway or 'clearly marked' it worked and I won 40 MCR points (Free 20 ounce coke in the form of 40 points) Nothing from the 3 'free' point codes.
