Overview

What It Is: This is the Gretsch G5420T Electromatic Electric Guitar in Sunburst. The G5420T is a hollowbody electric, constructed of 5 Ply Maple for the top back and sides, and has a Maple neck with a Rosewood fingerboard, which features hump block fret inlays. This guitar has Black Top Filter’Tron pickups in both the neck and bridge positions, and has that inimitable Bigsby tremolo bridge so you can get your swerve on.

Why this is a great opportunity: The G5420T is a new guitar from Gretsch, and features the new Black Top Filter’Tron pickups. Recently the Gretsch R&D team unearthed a Baldwin-era Filter’Tron pickup with knockout punch and phenomenal twang, and they designed the G5420T as the guitar that that would complement these fantastic sounding pickups best. This one has a great looking Sunburst finish, and really delivers that distinctive Gretsch tone and twang.
