This is a good price for a g5 body only considering it was just released a few months ago. Keep in mind though that the G3 which produces similar images to the G5 is only $250 on B&H. I hate how these Panasonic M43 cameras lose their values so much in such a short time.

This is a great price for the G5 body AND lens! Been watching these kits for a while, and this is the lowest price by more than $120. There aren't many deals going on these G5's (or G3's for that matter). I prefer the Grip on the G5 for my bigger hands. Last edited by jermmcd; 01-01-2013 at 11:36 AM.. |

This is pretty crazy. The G3 is almost worthless now, but the G5 never had a big price drop.
You could easily net $150 by splitting up the lens and body on ebay. Awesome |

The description appears to indicate that no lens is included. If that's the case, then it's better to wait for GH2 prices to drop, since the G-series cameras (G3 and G5 in particular) are nothing more than stripped down versions of the GH2, with some key features missing.

The G3 with lens is $299 from B&H. The G5 is not significantly better, if at all. EBay prices for used G3 with lens are $300+, for lens alone $120+.

HSN's description is a mess: the pictures show a PZ lens, but the model # does not have "X", it even says something like "this GF5K ... 12MB sensor...".
Anyway, I placed an order because HSN claims full refund within 30 days including S&H charges. If it does not come with a PZ, then I'll return it. |

Actually the opposite The specs clearly mention the lens 28-84mm equivalent Here it is WITH lens, same model at qvc. I would say this includes lens, rather than not |

it seems like they don't know what they are selling...
description also mentioned gf5, which is a completely different camera. it mentioned that it has the following lens: Lens Type: 28mm LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens 12 elements in 9 groups by most reviews, the g5 improved upon most of the weakness of g3, it's only a matter of whether those improvements worth twice the costs. |

Order confirmation says "dmc-g5ksd", which is a non existent SKU.
Hmmmmmm. Anyway, I ordered and hope it's the pz set. A g5 for under $200 would he deal of the year for me. |

In for 1 even though I am not sure what I will be getting...Knowing HSN, it will be the GF5 instead of the G5. Big difference...

In for 1 as well, but I doubt this is the PZ lens. The code for that G5 I think is DMC-G5X, not DMC-G5K. Will see...
