Maybe someone has an Android app suggestion that allows for bumping up the speed at certain hours like the full versions of uTorrent has? That would be spectacular. |

I got this instead for $35 from a few weeks ago: http://slickdeals.net/f/5654884-L...PING-34-99
Works great and is very stable; comes with ICS. I use it for Netflix, Youtube, some web surfing and to watch Chinese video streaming via PPTV HD instead of paying $160+ for a TvPad. Looks like you can run Ubuntu, XBMC, Flex, etc on it (see wiki for that thread). Only con is that shipping is slow (2-3 weeks). Last edited by ndno; 01-01-2013 at 08:48 PM.. |

The bottom line is that this will make your television act like an Android tablet. The benefit is mainly seen on televisions with a sub-par "smart" tv system or one with no bells & whistles at all, so that you can have "killer" apps like Netflix, Plex, Hulu, etc. that come with being plugged into the various android app stores (Google Play, Android App Store, etc.). Since it's portable, you also get to take it with you wherever you go or, at the very least, maintain a consistent user experience if you decide to change televisions. Don't forget to +rep me if you find one of my posts useful, it's the only way I'll know if I'm being a troll or contributing something that has made an impact on someone's life.
