Once the torrent started, does the TV has to stay on?
No, TV can be off, the stick gets power separately. The 808 can stay on 24/7 running torrents. You can turn on the TV to check on them once in a while but the device could care less whether the TV is on or not. The only real customization you have on utorrent is setting the speed of DL and upload.
Maybe someone has an Android app suggestion that allows for bumping up the speed at certain hours like the full versions of uTorrent has? That would be spectacular.
Cool, actually most of my android devices are phones or tablets. I use a lot of widgets, and I have about 4 to 5 email accts along with multiple calendars syncing constantly. I notice most devices are okay first few days, but after a month or so usage, they start to slow down. With each newer device with faster processor and more polished Android though, it does handle multi-tasking better.
I keep forgetting I already have an Ouya coming in HOPEFULLY by February so I'll have something to mess with soon.
Yeah i'm waiting on my OUYA too. I think that when released the OUYA will be by far the best Android experience on a TV. That's what i'm waiting for.
Works great and is very stable; comes with ICS. I use it for Netflix, Youtube, some web surfing and to watch Chinese video streaming via PPTV HD instead of paying $160+ for a TvPad. Looks like you can run Ubuntu, XBMC, Flex, etc on it (see wiki for that thread).
was a little hesitant to pull the trigger on this after reading all the negative reviews. But apparently there are some happy users out there too so I'm just gunna bite on the MK802 II since its $32 after some amazon revward points anyway. ty and repped

The bottom line is that this will make your television act like an Android tablet.
The benefit is mainly seen on televisions with a sub-par "smart" tv system or one with no bells & whistles at all, so that you can have "killer" apps like Netflix, Plex, Hulu, etc. that come with being plugged into the various android app stores (Google Play, Android App Store, etc.). Since it's portable, you also get to take it with you wherever you go or, at the very least, maintain a consistent user experience if you decide to change televisions.
