T-Mobile Rebate After Getting Free Phone From Retention Department

Hi, has anyone ever tried to file a rebate claim after getting a free phone from T-Mobile's customer loyalty or retention department? For instance, say if I can upgrade online for the Samsung GSII for free after a $50 rebate. However, if I went through their retention department and got the same phone for free without any rebate, would I still get the $50 rebate if I tried to send it in? According to the rebate's T&C, a free phone wouldn't qualify and I'm thinking it's probably a waste of time. Has anyone ever tried to file a rebate claim in this scenario? I'd appreciate any feedback if you ever had such an experience. TIA!

you should still qualify.

You already wasted the same amount of time it takes to fill out a rebate by typing this post. So just fill it out and try it! Worst case is that it is a waste of a stamp.

Not nearly, buddy.....but "waste of time" was just a figure of speech anyway. You'd also have to consider the time, effort, ink, paper, gas and not to mention the UPC that'll be gone

Yea I've made money on T -mobile rebates before. As long as you have your ducks in a row you'll get it.

I have been in the same situation before with T-Mobile. I tried it, Figured it could not hurt and would just be a waste of 5 minutes if it did not. 6 weeks later I forgot about it and the rebate show up. It was through thier retention dept and came with the rebate form mailed with it.

Couldn't hurt to try it should work for you as long as you got it within the dates and have it postmarked by the time they want.
