Wow, people write checks? Ever heard of online bill payment? Free checks and they mail it for you too. Some people still live in the dark ages.

Our kids need money for school related activities, field trips, school spirit wear, etc. & that's the only way you can pay. Definitely not sending cash, so thanks much OP!

i'm not sure what banks you guys are using but i don't have any free checks from my bank. i'm using regions, bank of america, chase, suntrust and wells fargo....none of them offer me any free checks!

Sometimes you need to use checks, it's a fact. I don't get free checks either, but spending $5 for an amount that will probably last years is fine with me. |

Thanks! Good deal! We have a credit union and a big name bank. Neither come with free checks? I pay a lot online but I still need checks. I actually get paid with checks every week. I won't wait a few days to have it electronically sent (since not everyone is trustworthy) and people don't always know the exact total until the day I get paid. Some pay me with cash but like to have an easier way to keep track for tax purposes.

I still use checks to pay rent, send a payment that I don't want to pay online. Bill payment is fine most of the time.

Bank employee here, yes people do still use checks. This is a great deal for those who don't get free checks with their accounts (which is MOST accounts we offer). Our plain, basic checks start around $12 for 50 checks.
I would order some, but I still have 99% of the box I got for free when opening my employee accounts. I agree that it is easier/cheaper/more convenient to use Bill Pay, but they do come in handy for that odd payment that can't be sent electronically |
