So lame, my Target usually will register my walk-in but not today! And it was 200 point day. Sad....I even looked like a looney just walking around the inside of the doors and then asking security where the transmitter was. He pointed where it used to be....not sure what happened. Asked another manager type and he said it should work when you walk in....

I noticed you don't have to be in the front of the stores anymore. Like at best buy and macys I am in the middle of the store and it works. Like you I couldn't get the 200 to work at Target even though it works on other days. I bet the transmitter is broken or something.

I never heard of this before, can someone give me a quick run down of how shopkick works? I have ibotta and jingit..but never heard of shopkick..i just downloaded app, but not sure what to do from here.

ohhh They must have the new system where apparently they pipe in the secret sound signal through the sound system. I read somewhere that is what Macys has now. I guess they emit a sound that our phones can hear when the app is on. Before it was the transmitter sending the sound but now they just pipe it into the music. (I totally GTS yesterday because this entire time I thought it was a satellite signal). However, I don't think I heard music playing on the speakers at Target today.....??? I tried again today and totally did not work at two different Targets (was there to get 90% off holiday stuff).

After you download the app, you need to set up an account. Click around in the app and find the sign up menu. They will ask you for a texting number (have to use a real one, cannot use an texting app number). They will send you a text and then you use it to confirm or something.

When you go to a store with shopkicks available, you turn the app on and walk through the doors. It will then register a shopkick. You can also scan stuff to get points.

Wow! Worked perfectly! Just like the old gift giving! I put my cell # in and it went instantly to my SK account under my name! It even told me that I had a gift from Target! Question - how did anyone get the giftcard to come up? When I walked into target I got the kicks for checking in, and scanning things - and it came up 'gift from target' but it won't let me do anything. It just shows a tag saying 'from target'. Help? :/

I thought the same when I walked into my Target, then I checked under my items aka the gift button and it shows you all the rewards you have and the $2 showed up under for me, HTH.
