Wrong thread for this...this is pretty high end plasmas. Rather than spewing my ill-conceived opinions about tv's I'll just say go to cnet.com and use their reviews. They have all kinds of qualifiers like, best plasma, best budget plasma, best lcd, etc....
Now, someone find me a 65VT50 for $2K, stat!
i agree! repped
4 Handset Cordless Phone Staples - 9.97
2 TB Seagate Staples - 43.69
39" 1080p LCD TV Sears - 89.99
32" 720p LED TV Vizio Amazon - 98.86
Harry Potter 8 Disc DVD Set Best Buy - 9.99
New 16GB Nook Tablet Staples - $99.74
& so much more!
Amazon should include JR.com and Adorama.com in their merchant list to PM. My purchase of this 55VT50 last September was more than $100 + enhanced shipping. Can't wait to see what Panny has in store for 2013 (probably shown now at CES)

VT all the way, ultra black level, best TV of 2012 from multiple sources. This is reference for all TV.
and Panasonic has demoted the VT line to second class of 2013, with ZT60 probably looking to be the #1 TV. I believe VT will still be the consumer's favorite as the ZT offers features that most may not pay for.
Does BB PM before or after tax?
JR is showing $1627.99 - $10 with CES2013 coupon code code = $1617.99
So I just bought a 55VT50 on Sunday from BB and it was delivered today. Have it up and running and looks amazing! Just set it to THX Cinema for time being. Question becomes will BB price match multiple times? Bought for 1699 with free delivery and they knocked an extra 50 the 50UT50 for me bringing that price to 649.
typically they price match once within the return period.

I just asked my wife about this deal and she said NO!!!!!!! After I hung up the phone, i said "to HELL with that"! I'M IN FOR TWO!!!
You don't need to wish that you didn't have a wife......you just need to exchange your skirt for her pants.
Anyone know if Plasma TV's can be flush mounted (1.3") from wall or, do they need more distance because of the heat they generate compared to LED's.
Especially the Plasmas from a few years ago like my TC-P50X1.
What should the proper distance be? I can't find any info in the manual or Panny's website.
1.3" should be fine. I've had plasma's since 2006 and it seems like most of the heat comes from the front of the screen and out of the top vents.
agreed, heat comes from the front and Panasonic has lower heat emitting from there plasmas compared to Samsung.
