I can tomorrow when I get back on my pc. Though doesn't the MD5 or SHA base your download vs the ISO on my pc?
How do I create a hash directly on the disc? Sorry I've only checked hashes never created.

Just FYI: In skydrive, there is an option while sharing files to allow people to download files without logging in. But there is a limit on the size of the download permitted that way without logging in. I think your iso file is larger than that size limit, hence people need to login using their msft account.

You're giving sound advice, but to the wrong crowd. The same people that would do NSA- or Gutmann-level wipes of their data are most likely in the same circle of people that don't run code from questionable sources.

The thing is... you're at Slickdeals. There are over a million registered users, and trackers-only-know how many other unique users. The people here fiend for price mistakes and then deals. I'd bet that only a handful of people are in the "paranoid" crowd of data security enthusiasts.

And, while it can be easy to alter the program to hijack data, it's actually much easier for those criminally-inclined to phish for data through much more conventional means (e.g. mass e-mails leading to mimed login pages). Though, I wouldn't be too surprised if someone decided to prey on a crowd of unsuspecting consumers. I just don't see it happening in this instance.

You've planted the seed of doubt. By the time I post this, I bet someone will make an uninformed post about comparing hash values. This, of course, requires you trust the source of the hash value provider.

Edit: This will probably be cheaper when it's bundled with some AV subscription deal as it has been in past years.
