Is there much difference between this and the online version? I've always done the online version, but looking at pricing, if I do my state also its $66 online vs $40 here. Usually you expect the online versions to be the same or a little cheaper.
Am I missing something or is this just the way to go? |

Staples WILL MATCH these Amazon prices and let you use coupons against the price. Buy it on Staples.com, open up chat with a CSR and they'll refund the price.
Premier is $56.30 right now. http://www.amazon.com/TurboTax-Pr...B009CCVMO0 Comparison of products:http://turbotax.intuit.com/person...ompare.jsp |

"Provides extra guidance for investment sales such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and employee stock plans" guessing its not really for me but still wasnt sure if someone had a more clear answer. |

Ordered mine earlier this morning. I used to get it automatically shipped from Intuit until I realized they were charging me full retail price. You'd think they'd give their subscribers a better deal. Great program for doing my taxes. Been using it for about 17-18 years now. I remember when I used to get it on floppy disc back in the day.

For the past few years I have used the online version. I do some banking with Vanguard and they offer a discount on TT, this year it is $19.99 for federal w/ e-file and an additional $36.99 for state w/ e-file, or $56.98 total. This deal is $40 for the software and state e-file is an additional $19.99, so $59.99 total.
I know when I do the online system they transfer info from my last year's return. Does anyone know if I can transfer info from last year's online return into the desktop version this year? |

Last year I paid $32.45 for the online Deluxe version (through a BankOfAmerica discount link, iirc), though I file Federal only.
Now when I go to http://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/ it shows that Deluxe is normally $49.99 but is discounted to $29.99. Not sure how/why that discount shows up or if it will for everyone. *State adds $36.99, so this amazon deal is way better if you pay for state. Last edited by RowdyReptile; 01-03-2013 at 05:52 AM.. |

I got it last year on this deal:
http://slickdeals.net/f/3976470-T...aples-w-PM and effectively paid <$10. May be a bit of a stretch, but I'm holding off for a little while longer in hopes of something similar. I have to wait until Mar/Apr for a K-1 anyway... |
