$10 Restaurant.com Gift Certificates for $1.60
$15 Restaurant.com Gift Certificates = $2.40
$25 Restaurant.com Gift Certificates for $4
$50 Restaurant.com Gift Certificates for $12

use promo code NEW at checkout

www.restaurant.com

I've been watching restaurant.com prices for months now, and I haven't seen any specials lower than this.

Helpful tip: You can always exchange certificates for a different restaurant later. (I have easily exchanged certificate that were 5 years old)

Newbies are advised that it's a good idea to cross reference your selections with Yelp. (Thanks to veeRob for that suggestion)

these certificates are the worst, they are not really gift certificates and the restaurant you go to will hate you when you use these, and half the time don't even accept them. after several bad experiences i will never buy them again.

laffo... you should quit slick deals... seriously.. a manager or lowly cashier might give you stink eye if you try stacking a coupon or price matching, and possibly even double stink eye if you use a competitor's coupon

I've never been declined on a r.com gc... and I've used close or above 100.. but then again I can read and comprehend the T&C's...

I wonder how much of the cut goes to the restaurant. Maybe nothing? $4 could be the advertisement fee to list on restaurant.com.

you are right, it's nothing. this is why restaurants hate it when you go in with them.

great deal these certificates, I use them a lot ! but this offer is not the best deal,

You can get $100 certs from like $6.75 on e.Bay from trusted sellers.

item 281046499913 is currently the cheapest I found.

.
Your a genius. eBay will get you a $25.00 coupon for $1.00 repped way better then the current deal. repped woot

Thanks and reps for the heads up on being able to trade them in. A few restaurants that I had bought for went out of business, and there's actually a link to trade them in right next to those certificates on my purchases page.

The restaurants sign a contract with restaurant.com to have the coupons. The idea is the coupons will drive businesses... hard to believe they sign a contract to have coupons then they would be upset when a customer wants to use one... they also include gratuity on total price the employees should also be happy.

Didn't they just give out a few million $10 certificates for free? I got about a hundred of those $10 codes and it's not even obvious that it's worthwhile using them.

So why does anyone even pay for these?

Welcome to slick deals. When you see a post that says "use promo code XYZ" it means at checkout unless stated otherwise. I'm not sure where you would even enter a promo code on the main search page since there is onlya spot to enter your zip code or search on a restaurant by name.
If you click on the link you provided and enter your zip code. You will then see a list of the restaurants you can choose from. Right above where you can sort the restaurants (most popular, distance etc) there is a place to enter the promo code before checkout. At least this was how the website appears to me.

20% cb on mr-e-ates also...

Haven't had any issues with 5 or 6 places here in Miami. Pretty good selection - three places we already go to a lot. Never understand how people think it's so tough to get to $35, we're at that before we start lol. Even $50 isn't so hard at some places. It's great for larger groups - 4 or 6 can easily get to $100 or $200 for just food unless people are eating light or the place is really cheap. The lower one (usually $15 off $22.50 or something) is good for lunch too.

Yelp has to be looked at as a whole - assume 1/4 are fake good and 1/4 are fake bad, the remaining 1/2 real. If you skim through the last 30-50 reviews with this in mind you can usually get a pretty good idea. I agree the filtering cr-p is ridiculous.

AmEx has sent me about $1000 of these over the years - anyone else get those too?

yeah that's the idea, then when it actually happens the restaurants hate it and it shows. have you ever used these before?
