Dear valuable customers,

Recently, we offered a special promotion price on one of our popular items: the mini android 4.0 Media Player – sku.145864 External link. The manufacturer made these products available at a discounted price in order to clear stock for the coming New Year.

Unfortunately, after receiving the most recent batch of media players, it came to our attention before shipment that some of these media players have a quality issue that may affect performance. At that time we also discovered that the manufacturer supplied us with a discrepancy in information regarding the processor frequency. In order to test the processors we used our Android benchmark tool from our QC team and it turned out that some of these products may have shipped with a 1 GHZ processor instead of the 1.5 GHZ that we listed under our specifications.

Having known this fact, we tried to find an alternative source but no comparable units were available. We also attempted to have another batch of media players manufactured to the proper specifications but this would have required factory re-tooling that was not feasible in a reasonable amount of time.

Although some of these units that were purchased earlier may not have a performance issue, we have no way to be sure of this. Therefore, we have two options to resolve this issue:

1. Full refund will be issued on this item for anyone who ordered the product regardless of shipment date. We will contact you directly to follow up on this and you may keep the media player.

2. If your order hasn’t been shipped yet, it will be cancelled and you will receive a full refund and a $5 USD coupon code to use toward the purchase of a related Android HD media player here

We greatly apologize for trouble this has brought to you and we are working hard with our manufacturer to solve the problem and create protocols to see that it doesn’t happen again.

How to fix Wifi on LUbantu on U2 (password is "miniand")
0) booting uHost in Android, use browser to download seahorse's evb.bin file from here Wifi on Lubuntu
1) booting lubuntu from microsd on uHost
3) rename original evb.bin file in the 17MB volume
4) copy seahorse's evb.bin file into the 17MB volume
5) edit the file /etc/modules (sudo leafpad and open file /etc/modules) or (sudo -vi /etc/modules) and add one line with 8192cu, then save.
6) Reboot and your WiFi chip should now be up and running (go to terminal and do a lsusb and it should show up there
7) Do the usual configuration in the Network manager and you'll have your WiFi up and running

download eve.bin file from http://tabletrepublic.com/forum/u...108-5.html (if u have 1080p image)

This one can run Ubuntu, correct?
If so has anyone tried using a USB TV tuner, like a Haupagge 950, to allow an HDMI monitor to function like a real TV

this deal is indeed tempting but am waiting for a more powerful, versatile hdmi stick that runs on 4.1.2 with bluetooth, xbmc and something that both the manufacturer and the developer community doesn't abandon too soon (thats been the trend with these upcoming android stick UG,MK series)

I'm assuming this supports the YouTube and Netflix apps. Basically turns a standard TV into a smart TV. XBMC would be a bonus. Got one...

$50 was too high....$35 was closer..but at $20 I am having trouble saying no.

Im not interested in getting a new wireless keyboard for it until iv had it for awhile. Does anyone know of a way I could use my nexus 7 as a keyboard/touchpad for it? I'm sure there is an app for it but im having some trouble finding one.

DX isva good company but be ready for a very long wait on delivery. I have ordered things and it has taken over 1 month to arrive. Will be coming from China
They do have a warehouse in the states, I think from the emails I get from them but not everything comes from there.

What's the de facto Android stick that everyone uses for comparison? (similar to how people compare cellphones to the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S3)

don't compare $99.99 stick with this $20 one, because for $99 you can get ODROID-U or OUYA

it is like apples and oranges...

This is literally product of the month, price drop of the week stuff. I wonder why more people don't just connect their SGS II via MHL into HDMI - wouldn't that be at least as good as anything out right now?

this chip is very meh in performance as far as quad core chips go i'd personally wait for something based on the All-Winner A31 or even the Rockchip RK3188.
