Bought this at $35 last month got it yesterday. Main issue is wifi with this model. There is a Uhost2 that is dual core.

Here is a better review:

Here is the thread that I got mine from with reviews and mods:

This is literally product of the month, price drop of the week stuff. I wonder why more people don't just connect their SGS II via MHL into HDMI - wouldn't that be at least as good as anything out right now?

Read the quote, unclerunkle wanted an example of one of THE fastest...
It would be better, but the price of the hardware is not comparable.
This is good as a cheap desktop or dedicated TV box. At $20-50, it's not really the same as the amount of money you paid for your SGS II, ignoring that not everyone has an equivalent to an SGS II. And before you say it, free after contract isn't technically "free". And you can still sell a used SGS II for ~$200.

But yes, if I had an SGS II lying around that I didn't intend to sell or reuse elsewhere, I'd probably use it in place of something like this. Or if I could get one for under $50.

anyone use one of these for vaction and plug into a hotel tv? it seems small enought to bring with you to watch some netflix on the go.
You can, but keep in mind the quality of your viewing experience will depend how fast the hotel's internet is. There are might be 10 other people streaming the video which might slow everything down. Plus the last hotel I stayed charged $2.99 a day for internet and had tube TV in the room.

Arrrghh, this is why i should not come over to SD everyday.

I have a Raspberry Pi/ VIA APC/ Dedicated HTPC/ Zotac Box but SD made me order this Android stick for $20. How could you ignore something for this cheap Wink

P.S. Love SD!

Not sure what exactly I just bought, but let's see. An easy way for adult videos perhaps? Hoping I can get it to work on my TV.

I bought one! this company is excellent I have bought many things from them. They don't charge any shipping or tax. The only problem it takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive shipping. This company will be the death of Amazon!
+1, had excellent experience with DX. cheap, reliable, and good customer service.

only downside is items are mostly shipped from china (shipped out quickly), so items usually arrive between 10-14 days after ordering.

Also it can take weeks for a product to ship, for customer service to respond, etc.

Just want to give a counter-example to balance it. I've had a lot of negative experiences. Although I still order from DX from time to time, I actually prefer direct from China sellers to DX.
You should still expect occasional hiccups with them from time to time, as will happen with most China sellers.

I made a few very large orders, in the range of $500-1000 worth of items in bulk.
(EDIT NOTE: I don't remember the actual time difference, but it was in the range of months late. It wasn't an acceptable amount of delay. The delay was a lot more than what I put here. I actually remember some items arriving like half a year later)
We needed them within a month, but they all ended up arriving more than 3 months later. Worse yet, they never informed us they had stock problems (which caused processing for some items to take 1-2 months and some items to not even arrive at all). Attempts to contact them always came back with unclear replies as to the actual status of the order.
This made the people I was ordering for pretty unhappy, and since then, they refuse to buy from DX.

I've also had a few personal small orders that would arrive months late. Stuff that doesn't weigh much like flat CAT6 cables and DVI-VGA adapters, or just little gadgets and toys. It didn't matter as much, because I didn't need them immediately.

Note: This was a while ago, before they did the website revamp in the early days when DX deals would hit FP all the time.

Somewhat comparable to having XBMC and a media server (that has a lot of other features through plulgins).
