Lepai LP-2020A+ Class-T Audio Mini Amp $19.49 + FSSS

Hopefully someone here will know. Can I connect just one speaker (I have extra StudioMonitor 350 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6882325059) to this amp? Something like connecting the two [+] together and the two [-] together to the speaker.

have one of these, sounds fantastic for the price.

if you have soldering iron skills you can make it sound even better with some simple mods.

this is a very good price considering it comes with a power supply. most of the lepais on ebay dont come with a power supply and are about the same price (and ship from china)

right now i have this amp powering some fairly inefficient (monoprice) in-ceiling speakers in a large 2 car garage and it fills the whole garage with sound well beyond normal listening levels.
if you think you need 100w per channel for normal music listening youve been brainwashed by marketing.

No, the LP-2020A+ is not bridgeable (you cannot connect the outputs together). You could just use one channel if you wanted--that would not harm anything.

I'm looking to power ceiling speakers throughout my house. However they are mono speakers and only have a single +/- tail to connect to an amp. In the past I used an old 5.1 receiver that had a center channel output. How would I connect the speaker lead in this case so that I can get both channels of music to play from the mono speakers?

If you keep an eye on craigslist you can often find older receivers for 20-30 bucks, which would be a FAR better option that these little toy amps.

of course they are 'mono' speakers, all speakers are mono. You need 2 for stereo.....
install in pairs.
