I see it at $700.99. Do I need to perform some magic to get the special EPP price?
ETA: The model number in the title is slightly incorrect. It lists "TC-50UT50" when it should be "TC-P50UT50". This affects people who are searching on model. Last edited by jkilez; 01-03-2013 at 07:27 PM.. |

HOW TO JOIN PANASONIC EPP: 1. Go to the login page for Perkspot.com here: http://perkspot.net/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2f 2. Click "Sign Up" on the right blue-colored tab. 3. It will ask you for a 3 letter company code, USE CODE ENT Choose RUSH UNIVERSITY MEDICAL. (credit goes to s1lykos) 4. Once the site opens up, on the left menu under the category "Browse Discounts", click "By Store." 5. Scroll down the alphabetized list to 'P' and click on "Panasonic" (the first store in the middle column). 6. A heading will come up titled "Discounted pricing through the Panasonic Purchase Program," and you want to click on the "Shop Now" blue tab on the right. 7. A page will momentarily pop up stating the code to be entered for the EPP discount is Group ID "PRK777." 8. You will arrive at the Panasonic website, and there will be a green box titled "Welcome to Your Panasonic Purchase Program." At the bottom of the square on the left, you want to click on the turquoise-colored tab labeled "Sign Up." 9. Fill out the necessary information, and enter the Group ID provided above. |

I think Costco still has the 55" one for $799.
http://www.costco.com/Panasonic-5...reId=10301 I was gonna get an ST50 but since deals have disappeared on that, I might go with the UT50. Will just need an HDMI switcher (only 2 inputs), and we don't watch too much in daytime, except NFL games. Hopefully it's not too bad - i have a glossy LCD so hopefully it's not too much worse than that. |

If you're using it with an AVR (I use a Denon 1912) the HDMI Arc return is the best of any TV I've ever had with Arc. It allows for AVR volume adjustment, turns the AVR on/off with the Panasonic remote, and anything playing from the TV uses the Arc return to send 2-ch audio to the Denon AVR through the HDMI cable. If you're going to use speakers at all, this is a sweet TV (along with the other Panasonic TV's with HDMI Arc). |

I don't know what you mean about HDMI Arc, but I think I'd be ok with a Monoprice HDMI switcher, I have a Logitech remote, should handle things I'd guess. I'm gonna get the ST50 if there's any deals this month after CES, but it kinda looks like it's out of production. |
