Wait, what?

That's cheap. Crazy cheap. It's a real projector at toy projector money. If I already didn't have a DLP projector in the closet that I don't use, I'd be all over it. Make sure your eyes work with DLP or you'll be asking for rainbows.

Its a good price, but I can't think of what I would use a 1024x768 projector for - even if I am feeding it an HDMI source.

The other thing is that it is setup such that it gets a 100" screen when placed 50" away. Unless you are giving presentations from a desk that seems like an awkward placement predicament - you'd have to have it sitting on an ottoman or end table located just 4 feet from the screen. So basically in the middle of the room.

I'm on the fence about this. Sure its cheap but it's not entirely useful. Oh, yeah - and it's orange.

Just checked on the 3M website and all of these are listed with HDMI (one model even has a DVD player). And I agree ebay is the way to go in case something doesn't work out.

I was reading the bottom of the description on ebay and it says "End of life projector". So does that mean the bulb is done?

I think it means the projector has been discontinued.

It says "New" and it says " This is a end of life projector that we are liquidating."? Hmm

The front panels look different for the orange and white.

This thing is old like 4 years out of production with kind of crappy resolution. Other issue is the lamps are like $300

Wow...THIS IS A STEAL...I have an HD projector, this is technically HD, but I may buy this just to have for portability and fun. Something to plus the old Dreamcast and Sega Saturn in on those rainy days...SO TEMPTED but can't justify it. If you want to get into projectors this is the one to get.

1024x768? It says SVGA, that's 800x600.

Don't downplay short throw. That's good, not bad. Long throw is a hassle. Short throw is easier to deal with. For most people in average sized rooms, short throw is what you want.

so this is a throwaway projector? After 2000 hours throw it away because a new lamp will cost way more than the new projector
