3M DMS700 DLP Projector SVGA 1500 Lumens Short Throw $99.99

I checked newegg...its XGA...basically HD for anyone interested and yes, I would toss this projector after I was done with it...if you want long term, buy two of them.

Screw it. My DLP projector in the closet is lonely. I got it a couple of friends.

These sold for $300+ on newegg used. Reviews are good.

Ah... what? The projector is $99 new. It comes with a lamp. So by defnition, you can get lamps for $99 new. Or buy the projector for $99, rip out the lamp and sell it to a shmuck for $300.

Seriously...this is the best projector deal I have seen in a while besides that LG one that I couldn't justify when I own a DLP projector already.

Keep in mind, if you like and own old video games systems, SNES, PS2, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, etc...then this is amazing becuase you won't need that clunky tube TV, it's ultra portable, its easy to store, and you can display it on any wall.

With this having HDMI, you could pick up one of those Android sticks (like the ~$20 DX one posted yesterday) and play movies/games through that, couldn't you? Self-contained entertainment system.

I'll warn again. If you have fast eyes, DLP is not for you. You'll see rainbows. If you are someone that gets headaches from active 3D glasses, you do not want DLP.

Also, this unit supports USB Flash drives, probably limited codecs and formats, but still...this is definitely a cheap all in one portable HD/SD solution.

They buy cars cheap, break them into pieces and sell off the pieces for more than the cost of the car. What do you think private capital funds do? They buy a company. Break it apart and sell off the pieces for more than the price of the whole. What do you think your supermarket does? They buy a big pallet of coconuts and sell you each one for more than it cost as part of the pallet. This looks like a rebranded toshiba that I have owned for 4 years now. It's a great little projector. I have it 100" in the basement. No problems for me.

in for one... I have a projector in my living room that i use to watch movies outside with friends, hopefully this will take the place of that one so I can leave my living room one mounted on the ceiling! :-)
