I've purchased several brands of NiMH AAs over the years, and the Tenergys have worked just fine. I don't see any higher failure rate with them than with famous brands - though you should always buy one or two more than you need, because failures are a lot more common than with alkalines. One issue which is not truly a failure (they still charge and contain capacity) is the length of time they hold a charge while sitting there. That seems to vary a lot, and even big name brands can have that problem. Since these are Low Self Discharge, if they live up to that name, this brand should work fine.
If you want your rechargeables to last, buy a quality smart charger, don't charge them too fast, don't overcharge them (use a smart charger), don't fully discharge them, don't let them sit around fully discharged for a long time, don't charge them, then forget about them for months or years. You have to tend NiMH batteries, just like car batteries, and not abuse the charge and discharge processes.
