I wish people would stop abusing this - seriously get some ethics people! You're preventing people who need this from getting one. Like me.

To test, simply insert strip into slot on side of meter, wait 5 seconds...results are shown and then hit one of three buttons options - 'Before Meal, After Meal, No Mark' I believe the unit holds up to 2,000 readings. It provides a daily, weekly and monthly average right on the screen itself. It also has a light feature on it so that you can test in the dark. It charges via a wall charger (that is provided in this kit) and it also charges by simply plugging into the PC as well similar to a USB jump drive. Software is a snap to load and read results. Everything can be viewed by day, numbers and in color charts. Data can even be saved to .pdf and either e-mailed or saved directly to jump drive and e-mailed/printed and shared with Doctors Hope this helps out! |

THIS IS NOT A HIJACK.....As a person recently diagnosed with "Diabetes" I found the South Beach Diet where you reduce or eliminate simple carbohydrates (ie: processed grains, enriched grains, white flour etc.....) Without getting into boring details, your body simply cannot process these carbs.....and if we ingest said carbs, your body responds with producing insulin in an effort to reduce the spike in blood sugar and after awhile, your body becomes insulin resistant (aka: diabetic). I lost (so far) a total of 29lbs, weaned off 2 hypertension meds and got my blood sugar into the sub 100 range (without the use of medication) all simply by trying to eliminate simple carbs!

Btw, funny guy correct your grammar. Someone isn't fat, they are overweight because they have fat. Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur. (Anything said in Latin sounds profound!)

I have the Revel pump and the Next version of this meter that transmits the results to it. Awesome system. It seems quite accurate. The Next meter uses different strips, however. I did use the meter briefly before switching to the Next version when it came out.
