60% conductivity? no problem as its still more than my current 14 gauge cables. My speakers and amp can handle it. As far as 'fatigue resistance' and 'tensile strength' making a difference... would it really if I only ran the wires once and didn't bend them back and forth or pull on them? wire is wire, right? For an audio signal?

You may be to use these for amp power wire but I would not use them for the audio signal. As the audio signal is at a frequency where the skin effect takes effect, you would want quality stranded oxygen free copper wiring for clean audio. These may be copper clad and that will help but it is hard to determine the purity of these cables.

At a given volume wouldn't the CCA exhibit decreased skin effect due to having more copper overall although less as a percentage by volume?

Doesn't really matter when it comes to jumper cables since you're not likely to use them often.

If you were going to use these to jump start all your neighbors daily for some strange commercial interest, then I'd worry about getting copper jumpers. As a comparison, Sam's Club has 20' 4 guage jumper cables in a case for $18.73. These are not in the store all year, based on what I've seen, but they are available now. Probably a pretty good deal if you are a SC member.

225 amps might start a wheezing 4 banger on a hot day, but that's nothing for any decent sized or higher compression engine in the cold. My battery is rated for 900 cold cranking amps, and sometimes struggles to turn over my high compression V6 in cold winters. Now, the cold is reducing the available current in the battery, so let's say I'm only at 5-600 amps, but I'm still only trying to turn over a 3 liter.

I thought I came across one heck of a slickdeal when I read "4 gauge 100% copper conductors" in the description for those cables.

I got a better look at them at home, and discovered the cables had some chrome color in the wires. After forwarding my complaint up their chain, Sam's finally corrected their info to say "copper-clad aluminum".
