not a good price at all. I usually pay $40 - $55 for Premier and it includes state, e-file and the actual CD, not online.

Where have you found this price for Premier? Also, many people (myself included) prefer not to install software on our computer each year. Plus it's nice to be able to work on the taxes from anywhere with the online version....not just the computer that you installed the software on.

Looks like the same deal for TT Online is available for USAA members.

I updated the main post....but to clarify, you don't need to have a B of A account in order to get the discount, just click on the link in the post. I don't have a B of A account, and this discount worked for me.

You can find it with a quick google search or on SD. I bought last year from ecrater.com. Your thought of doing it online versus from a CD is interesting. I think most people perfer the CD, as the scenario you describe may only be applied to you. Generally doing Taxes, you want to be where all your documents and supports are, you don't want to carry that stuff around. it should be right next to the tax computer.

Thanks for the info. I checked SD originally and didn't find the price range you were talking about, which is why I asked where you got that price in the first place. I just checked ecrater.com and saw the Premier CD for $53 (+$20 for State E-File) = $73....$1 more than this Slickdeal post. True, if you don't plan to E-File your State return, then the ecrater.com deal is better. But if you don't need the State software at all, then this post is still cheaper at $35 for Federal Premier. This deal was highlighting the cheapest price I've seen for TurboTax Federal + State + E-File of both.

As far as having the CD vs. Online. I don't necessarily PLAN to carry my tax docs around with me, but I had to travel a lot early last year and it was nice to know I could work on my taxes wherever I had an internet connection. Also, many documents and information can be obtained online now, anyway, thus reducing the amount of PHYSICAL tax documents I required. I also believe I'm not alone based on reading some other SD forum discussions for the TT Amazon CD/Download deal here.

I completely disagree.

Nobody wants to load CD software anymore. The entire world it going cloud based apps for a reason. You can access Web Based apps on any device that supports it and they maintain all your previous years info. It literally takes us 1 hour to do our taxes on Turbo Tax by just editing any previous values but our kids, deductions, etc hardly ever change and we don't risk losing everything in a fire or PC malfunction.

Love Turbo Tax and this is a pretty darn good deal!!

Thanks for posting the Amazon link... I was able to get Staples to price match (its $68 now) plus I used a $25 off $75 coupon. So I got the turbo tax and printer paper for $53!
