Thanks! My boys use them as arm warmers (just doesn't get THAT cold here) with short sleeve shirts. Sometimes I use them too.

I'm a new mom, it was a sincere question. I appreciate all of the responses. I still don't see why these are necessary for a boy. My 13 month old boy wears jackets and long-sleeve shirts to keep his arms warm, and pants for his legs. No problems changing his diaper. And I can't imagine anyone without kids in their lives bothering to look at this post....

So needlessly antagonistic! I don't think anyone is arguing that this is a requirement for parents. People have survived a long time without pizza, internet, electricity, vaccines and well, just about anything. That doesn't mean everyone should stop using them because they are not required to survive. Granted, baby leg warmers aren't on the level of anything I previously mentioned, but they are more useful then Power Balance wrist bands. Why don't you spend time telling Clay Matthews he is a cross dressing sissy for wearing lady bracelets? I don't think your children require your snark but I wouldn't tell you to drop it. Maybe all your rigid gender views will inspire your kids to rebel and become the next Eddie Izzard.

I am late to the discussion but I bought some legwarmers for my son just to wear around the house when crawling. I bought them just to try, since I have seen them so often. They worked great to protect his knees, since I usually let him run around the house in just an onesie. THEN, the weather got cold and when we carry our son, his jeans/pants would ride up, exposing his bare skin to the bitter cold. The socks aren't long enough to cover his lower legs. I started to put jeans/pants over leg warmers and the problem was solved! They are quite handy and work awesome. I actually had mothers asking what was underneath the pants that seem to keep my son's legs warm and after I told them, they went and got their boys leg warmers, too! So I have no problems letting my boy wear leg warmers. I do get some comments from my husband's kid-less guy friends, but they just said they like them, that they are very 80's. lol Fine by me.

They're Also Great When you're Potty Training A Boy, Especially If You're Doing The Naked Or Just Underwear Methods In The Winter. Pants (Stretch/Jeans/Whatever) Are A whole different Monster When You are Doing It, So These And A shirt Work Great! Didn't Buy Any Since I Saw Too Late, But We Have 3 Babylegs Pairs - Monsters, Camo, And Stripes. No One Confuses My Boy For A Girl When He Wears These.
