This 3d version is probably the closest to its theatrical version. The depth and effects are great on my Mitsu, evne with imperfect lighting. I can see this disc being used moee than once unlike my other 3d titles.
You mean a Blu-Ray (BD) player? I got a Samsung 3D BD player for $30 on clearance at Sears a few months ago (very YMMV) and a PS3 250 GB for $200 on BF. I've seen 3D BD players for under $80 a few times over the last couple months and I think refurbs in the $40-$50 range. If you're going to buy a $100 3D BD player then I'd just go another $100 for a PS3 (I guess they're $250 now since it's past the holidays).
I ended up negotiating a free one from Amazon after I got my tv and they started to bundle them. I am kicking myself for not taking the $100 credit instead and getting a ps3 or something cheaper.
I didn't even want to get into this media but oh well. I am happy now. too bad nobody seems to rent 3D blurays out.
Bestbuy has the BluRay 3D but does NOT include the Bluray/DVD combo.
I have confirmed that the Best Buy version for $19.99 is in fact the Blu-ray 3d + Blu-ray + DVD combo pack. Picked it up today along with Green Lantern, Legend of the Guardians, Harry Potter Deathly Hallows 1+2 and The Polar Express, all in 3D. Traded in 5 DVDs and did the upgrade eligibility check for my cell phone to get $5 off coupons then paid with gift cards from the small device trade in offer. $0.00 out of pocket after my trades.
