This is a a great lens that is built like a tank. I have owned this (Nikon Mount) for about 6 years now without any issues.

adorama has it at the same price...darn...should've waited and got it at adorama..oh well

Having owned - and sold - two 12-24s I gotta say...skip it. Poor quality control. Horrendous purple fringing that I never could completely fix in post proc. Worst of all though, neither were sufficiently sharp. Too bad because it is a terrific range.

i have the 11-16mm...the f2.8 totally makes it worthwhile. my favorite lens.

This is that one lens that can be used on FF from 18mm. I have both (12-24 and 5dM3) just so you know..

Also just stick to it. Because when you move to FF you already have a UWA from about 18mm |
