I've been wanting the Samsung E-6730W! Or even the ones before that the D-6730W or C!!! But can never find a deal and of course they don't sell the D or C anymore.

Dead...
I bought one through Amazon before the price jumped $90 and will decide weather it will work for my application or not. What I really am looking for is a simple, portable speaker driver and/or speakers to use outside for a back yard theater. Best case would be a system that can pull audio wirelessly from a remote location and drive the wired speakers. I do not want to go wireless for the speakers as than I need to run power to various locations or keep a shitton of batteries around. Neither is optimal. Video will be separately sent to the Epson 8350 projector. Last edited by 68droptop; 01-06-2013 at 01:26 PM.. |

These are a waste if you have other A/V equipment. Just get a decent receiver and go from there. So many people buy these bundles not knowing they are very limited in what they do.
Rec-room> receiver- Denon AVR-1712, fronts- Polk M70's, center- Polk CS2, sides- Polk M50's, rears- Polk M40's, subwoofers- Bic RTR-EV1200 12" & Bic V-1220//Great-room> receiver- Onkyo TX-NR509, fronts- JBL Studio 180's, center- JBL Studio 120C, surrounds- Polk RC60i in wall speakers, subwoofer- JBL SUB150P//PC/Desk > receiver- Denon AVR-391, fronts- Polk R300, subwoofers- Pioneer SW-8 & SW-8MK2 (stacked), surrounds- Polk R150//Master bedroom> receiver- Onkyo AVX-290 w/matching 5.1 speaker set

![]() Buying a receiver is also a waste if you buy one of these. Personally, I'd rather not have another box in my system that just acts as an amplifier, since I'm no longer attaching multiple devices. One box that can play disks, USB, DLNA, and streaming that can also be controlled by a smart phone doesn't seem very limited at all. http://service.us.panasonic.com/O...BTT196.PDF |

I'm about to pull the trigger on this one but still just a bit confused withy the multiple devices connection issue.
So if I don't care about connecting all of my devices to the bluray player...i.e, if I plug my ps3 and cable box straight to my tv's hdmi ports, and then connect the bluray player (receiver) to the tv via optical cable (which I am assuming it comes with it???? Right??), wouldn't I be able to get audio for all of my devices???? I know I'll be running 2 or 3 hdmi cables through my tv butI really don't care about that...am I missing anything? Ps: some reviews on amazon mention that it comes with really short wires and it seems like there is a bit of concern regarding the type of wiring...anyone has any insights on that one? |

[QUOTE=Troublestylist;56664690]If you have other A/V equipment, then you already have a receiver.
![]() Absolutely wrong. Modern TV's have these things called inputs, such as HDMI, composite and component. You can hook your game systems, dish receivers, dvd players and such directly to the TV. A receiver isn't needed to play these, bud.

Anyone know how this compares to the htb-550? All of the stores around me don't have this in stock and there isn't on display. I have a HTB-550 sound bar that I recently purchased for $260 and this looks like it might be a better deal if the quality of the drivers is the same.

Most wires are too short for some people, and too long for others. Don't let that affect your decision.I'd most like to know which formats it plays through DLNA so I can get rid of a networked media player. Most are pretty limited, and you can't trust them to play all the same files through DLNA as they will through USB. But in your last post, you told people to buy a receiver. Now, you're telling them not to. Make up your mind. Last edited by Troublestylist; 01-06-2013 at 02:14 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doublepost |

These htib setups are limited, research should be done in depth before purchase. If you have multiple hdmi sources these htibs may not work most have only 1 out. If you have multiple sources you can use a tv with ARC or use optical outs for the sound. These setups are for people who do not want to deal with multiple components and or don't have alot of living space (perfect for apartments). Don't expect super hifi quality sound but they can sound decent compared to systems that cost many times over. Also not everyone is an audiophile so.... I was in the market for one of these and this price is pretty low, I eventually went with a Sony BDV-F7 setup tho.
