True. But it's nice that since you rarely need them to switch video, (if) you can use the TV to do that and feed the audio back to the unit optically and simplify things a lot.

Once I figured that out, my setup got a lot easier to use. It's somewhat backward logically to feed audio to the TV then back to the HTIB, but works great.

You can even use an auto HDMI switch if your TV doesn't have multiple HDMI, or you don't want to hassle with switching them. Good for setting up your parent's A/V system.

Ugh...why can't they standardize? I think my TV's want to ignore AVI's, but my mobile media players ONLY want to play AVI's. And both are common on the internet.

Guess I'll have to keep my PBO since it seems to be the only device that will play anything I throw at it.
