![]() The tablet has been down to $229.99 at OD a few times since then and if you had a SurPrize coupon from a purchase made during the BF weekend, you could have applied it to the purchase of tablet. Those were rarities among OD coupon codes as they were valid on tech items, but they all expired 12/31/12. None of the current OD coupon codes (except for "freebie" items) can be applied to tech items. OD stores will often accept competitors' coupons subject to the terms & conditions on the coupon, so if you can find one that doesn't exclude tablets, you might be able to use it in-store at OD to pick it up for less, but YMMV on finding such a coupon and on the OD store accepting it. |

It's just not a very good tablet. The aforementioned screen although seemingly okay at first, upon extended use you will realize that the poor viewing angled gives you this weird glare, the colors always seem a bit off, and literally one part of the screen will look different from another part due to the poor screen. At the perfect angle and optimum lighting, the screen does give off a crisp look and good colors but good luck achieving that with any consistency. Also, the lenovo logo on the back is etched and protrudes out the back so I literally scratched a glass table when I dragged it across once. Also, maybe related to the poor screen or maybe I just had a defective tablet, but it would randomly detect touching when I wasn't even holding the tablet. This was most obvious reading magazines from google play. It would resize or turn the page even when I wasn't holding the tablet. This was really the straw that broke the camels back for me and had me return it. I did like the screen size and light weight of the tablet and the processor was as snappy as most other devices I have (about same as nexus 7, ipad 4, asus tf300, faster than HP Touchpad w/ CM9). I wouldn't recommend this tablet at all. I went with the nexus 7 and what you sacrifice in screen real estate is made up for in its extreme portability (fits any of my coat pockets). In this price range, I'd say go with the nexus 7 32gb or the asus tf300 if it's on sale. |

I have this tablet and I am using it to type this. It is a great tablet and worth every penny. I returned my nexus 7 for this. The screen is not as good but gets better when you lower the brightness and works fine at most angles. I have no issues and mine is running jelly bean after the latest update.

Seems like a worthy competitor to the Nexus 7. At about the same price you trade off 16 GB of memory and downgrade screens, but you get a larger screen, HDMI out plus a microSD slot. If I didn't already have a Nexus 7, I'd seriously consider this...

Seems like BestBuy has had this for 229 on and off for the last two months... Don't know if that current but I was waiting for that 199 sweet spot but I guess the stock will run out before anyone has it for that price again...This seems to be an orphan system from the start since I have never seen any covers etc. for this one not to mention any talk much..

Better to wait for the next generation from Lenovo if you can wait while they work out all the bugs and get a better screen. Or wait for a real clearance below $200. If you want a tablet NOW, the 7" ones are better overall at the moment.
Golden Rule of a Deal: If an item has been offered validly at a price of $X at any time, then never pay more than that in the future. It has been discontinued or will appear again at that price soon enough.
