Kel Tec KSG 12GA Tactical Shotgun - 14rd: KSG
The KSG (Kel-Tec Shotgun) is Kel-Tec CNC’s first entry into the shotgun market. The size, shape, and design is similar to the currently available Kel-Tec RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward, instead of forward. The KSG weighs 6.9 lbs. and is as compact as legally possible with a 26.1” overall length and an 18.5” cylinder bore barrel. Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 14 rounds of 12 gauge 2.75” rounds in total (7 per tube). It can also reliably shoot shells as short as 1 3/4" up to the 2.75".

This simple and reliable pump action feeds from either the left or right tube. The feed side is manually selected by a lever located behind the trigger guard.

The pump includes an under picatinny rail for the mounting of a forward grip, a light, or a laser. The included top picatinny sight rail will accept many types of optics or iron sights. Forward and rear sling loops are built in, and a basic sling is included. The soft rubber butt pad helps to tame recoil.

The KSG receiver is made from hardened steel and includes the magazine tubes which have been welded in place. The grip and stock assembly is made of glass reinforced nylon (Zytel) and is easily disassembled by pushing out 2 pins, which store in 2 holes in the grip when removed. The barrel and pump assembly is removed by loosening the 2 front magazine tube nuts with a coin and sliding the assembly forward.

12 Gauge
2.75" Chamber

Its tough to find these at gun shows for less than $1000. If you want to wait its a great price.

Can this be shipped to my home since it's not a handgun?

no must be sent to FFL.

they'd sell a bunch of these if they could actually get them to costumers.

Beware they charge a "restocking" fee even to cancel an order that hasn't shipped so they may charge you $60 just to cancel your order. I doubt you'll ever see the gun. My local gun store has had one on order for 2 years.

Firearms

The firearm sales process is time-demanding. So as soon as you place an order for a firearm, we begin working on the order. Therefore, there is a ten percent (10%) restocking fee for cancelled orders (whether placed on line or via telephone) before shipping. After a firearm is shipped, there is a twenty percent (20%) restocking fee.

This basically amounts to a scam at this time.

It might be worth it to call them and ask about the restocking fee plus they offer a concealed carry discount if you call as well.

Yeah, I've been on a list for a year now... Not sure I wanna sign up for this if there is no guarantee I'll ever even see the weapon.

Man that gun is straight nasty. I thought my Glock provided home protection....shoot that pump action with the handle is unreal.

they're FAQ is pretty clear. When you place an order online, if you want to cancel it you will be charged a 10% "restocking fee" for something they never had in stock.

You may as well go outside and light $25 on fire.

My bet is they simply haven't updated their website. Kel-Tec stated several months ago it's no longer shipping some of these weapons until some issues have been worked out.

KelTec products are NOT know for good quality. If you want a shotgun that will shoot faster than this pumper, go by a 1100/11-87 Rem (used in excellent cond run about $250-$350.) and get a extension tube mag to get you to 8 shots (maybe 9). You can empty that baby in under 5-6 seconds..and loaded with #2 buck...NOTHING is more lethal. Another shotgun to seriously consider is the Winchester Super X2/X3...dial up a youtube video and watch how fast these operate..amazing.

LOL..just had a closer look at the KelTec's sights..iron sights are the only way to go for home defense..just get the bead in the general direction and the 12ga will do it's thing. I know VN vets who used Rem 870 pumps as their go-to guns while in the jungle.

+1 for just plain old prettiness! (though I suspect it would suck for sporting clays as it looks a wee bit short... so only good for personal defense?)

Kel Tec makes too many gun models for their own good. They can't keep any of them in stock anywhere. Cabela's stopped selling them. It's like their R&D dept. just keeps making new models, but the production dept. never hires additional people to actually build the new guns.

I'm trying to track down a PF9, but not a single store in town has ever had one and said they're lucky if they get in 2 Kel Tecs a year. Either they need to raise their prices, or hire more people.
